Chicken soup [unintentionally made] by my flatmate that made our smoke alarms go off at 3AM

It's not nonstick, so you can recover it. I've done it with a pot that had an oil fire in it and a pretty thick layer of burnt oil. But it might not be worth it with this much... residue in it.

You’re going to be dealing with the smell for a long time. Be glad it didn’t start a larger fire. This has stopped happing to me entirely, turns out I was an alcoholic. You could try:

Wash the walls with soap and water if possible.

Repainting as a last resort.
