God fucking damn it reform won , I'll be moving to Norwich next year, I hope they vote green
l0gginz@reddit
Where did you see this? Nothing announced on BBC yet
Far_Huckleberry_4407@reddit
The guardianĀ
l0gginz@reddit
And this is why you wait for official news. Guardian definitely got it wrong if they called MK for Reform.
EnigmaMK85@reddit
The greens are as insane, if not more so.
wf6r@reddit
Milton Keynes haven't announced yet
Key_Brother@reddit (OP)
No results for milton keynes yet

I dunno, but the Tories knocked on my door and seemed irked when my response was "how do you still exist?".
EnigmaMK85@reddit
Edgy

A mix. Labour have ruined the roads and that's such a big part of what makes MK work, they deserve a kicking for that alone, but they're also poisoned by association with Starmer - even though it shouldn't matter at local level, it will.
Some of the local Conservatives are actually ok but they have a couole of real bad apples and are also under the tainted brand of their parliamentary party, so I wouldnt expect much from them other than a smattering of votes from the "Ive always voted Conservative" lot.
Lib Dems could do well simply because people dont want to put a cross against anything else and they can point to a reasonable record in MK - but do enough people take them seriously?
Most normal people wouldn't touch the Greens, they will be on the fringe as a lightning rod for left-wing protest votes and will take numbers off Labour. Reform is also protest vote - and I can imagine them picking up the odd seat, moreso than the Greens, but not a majority - Farage is such a polarising character it will cost them votes.

Wow... A balanced response that didn't resort to name calling. A rare thing indeed

I did not even bother to vote. I dont believe in this system anymore. They are all liars and a waste of time. You may say by not voting it doesn't allow me to have a say,but my silence speaks volumes. I am not interested in any lf the complete rubbish and BS they talk about. It is nonsence.
Eazykill2517@reddit
It's hard to say that they are liars, I had a councillor come to my door and I asked him what I was voting for or what their policies were and how they actually are affecting things. He didn't have an answer other than to say that he usually wins. Better than lying I suppose!
I did a bit of googling to find out what information each councillor stood for and what the fuck I'm supposed to be doing. Didn't find any information that was easy to come by so I gave up. Voting for this kind of thing is totally unnecessary, I too don't believe in this system.
My friend told me he was surprised to learn at the poll station that he had 3 votes. Let's be honest, I'm sure there are some people who know what they're voting for but surely the votes only worthwhile if 100% of people know what they're doing. And how complex is it to understand all the ins and outs from all councillors to vote accurately as to what you actually want. It's probably so complex that its nearly impossible.
TickleMaster2024@reddit
They are liars. They make promises they never keep. All total BS. Dont bother
Far_Huckleberry_4407@reddit
I hope green but I don't know
Ye_olde_oak_store@reddit
I doubt it unfortunately, I didn't see much advertising from the Green candidates.
Nimble_Natu177@reddit
No chance, anyone that owns a car will have voted for literally anyone else.
Arthran@reddit
Most of the Green party members I know localy are car owners. The idea that the Green's are against car's is just rubbish
Nimble_Natu177@reddit
They may not be against cars, but they are against the Jewish population and care more about a civil war on the other side of the world than anything at the local level.
Nimble_Natu177@reddit
No chance of Labour, they've done everything they can to piss off everyone in this city that owns a car.
sealedtrain@reddit
explain
Nimble_Natu177@reddit
Roads being closed for weeks at a time, piss poor job at road resurfacing (not just the pot holes) and the reduction of the speed limit to 40 in the most random of places for literally no reason.
vilemeister@reddit
Or a bike. They've done some fucking awful middle ground that doesn't work for anyone. If you think the roads are bad, the redways are much worse.
Cultural_Western_711@reddit
Hate to say it, but Reform
Notagelding@reddit
Wouldn't be such a bad thing. If they perform like they have done in other council areas there's fuck all chance of them getting voted for in a national election.
sealedtrain@reddit
I think there's a case to be outlined where for Milton Keynes its a very bad thing and we get turned into Northampton

bradphoria@reddit
doniseferi@reddit
Not sure why you got down voted. I think reform will win, and it pains me to say that.
TheInsatiableOne@reddit
Most likely NOC. A weird mix of parties that won't want to cooperate.
Key_Brother@reddit (OP)
Don't liberal Democrats and Labour get along in mk council?
UsefulAd8513@reddit
There was a Lib/Lab coalition of sorts when it was NOC.
Nimble_Natu177@reddit
That wouldn't be so bad, on a local level, Lib Dems run a tight ship.
TheInsatiableOne@reddit
Assuming Labour don't get wiped here.
HarryTurney@reddit
Either Labour or Reform. Hopefully not Reform.
mattcosmith@reddit
Back to NOC I think.
