2 years ago: Biden does nothing specific, gas prices move with inflation. BIDEN IS RUINING AMERICA!!! HE DID THAT!
Now: Trump literally creates an oil supply crisis without provocation that spikes gas prices. TRUMP IS DOING THIS FOR AMERICA AND FOR FREEDOM! HOW DARE YOU IMPLY THIS IS BAD OR HIS FAULT!?
So I see you are part of the problem.
Are you winning yet and if so can you elaborate on how?
From everyone’s POV it looks like you enjoy spending more money for less product, which is stupid.
Civility towards Republicans is cruelty towards everyone else.
We’re now firmly seeing what happens when the Paradox of Tolerance plays out. We tolerated conspiracy theorists and selfish assholes for so long that it turned into intolerance for anyone else.
Close. The people actually responsible are Republicans in Congress. They could stop all of this today if they wanted to. But they keep doubling down, time after time.
The Democrats in Congress are trying to reign in Trump, but Trump owns Congress and SCOTUS so there's not much the Democrats can do now. Don't blame all of Congress, blame the Trumpers that control Congress, and lets vote them out this fall.
Yep, Biden handed him a booming economy that weathered COVID the best of any economy on the planet, with stable low unemployment, stable energy prices, a massive and growing green energy sector that was creating thousands of new jobs a month, and a world that respected and liked the United States of America. All he had to do was shit his diapers and stay quiet and we'd be a much better country.
I am a travel nurse, i took an assignment in dallas stating the week of the war and during my road trip from Connecticut i paid more and more the whole way soon as mango moron bombed iran
As a contractor that has to get gas every few days in a pickup truck, I have been screaming internally non-stop. Everything is about to crash, considering contractors will have to raise prices just to offset gas costs, then customers stop because things get too pricy, etc etc etc. Woo. We're in for a ride.
I challenge any conservative here who’s ever “I did that” with Biden to do the same to your god leader, Trump. I challenge any conservative reading this to not be a hypocrite. Just for once. Please.
Serious question: do people not have a Sam's Club membership? It's being offerdd at $20-$25 for the year and often much cheaper. I have nearby that's currently $3.74 per gallon. The savings along makes the membership worth it.
On my drive I saw several places at this price, but others were still at $3.89. And it wasn't like, one end versus the other, it was practically alternating.
If it stays here, this is the point at which it becomes cheaper for me to get a monthly DART pass and drive to the park and ride. Thankfully work is next to a stop.
No it’s the part where they say “but it was more under Biden” as if the one week when it was higher at the end of his first year in office when the world was bouncing back from a global pandemic is in any way comparable to what’s going on now.
7-11 is running solid discounts on gas. On the 7th and the 11th, they’re offering 50 cents off a gallon. You just have to text certain phrases to 711711.
There is a QT right outside my neighborhood and on the sign, all I could see was .29 because a tree was in the way of the first digit. I was immediately like "ooh gas went down."
Then I asked my daughter to look and see what the first number was and she said "4" 🥲
I mean people were saying it was at 4 something yesterday we knew it was gonna be going up over night I went a filled up when it was 3.68 by me last night
Yesterday around lunchtime I was trying to sign up on a new electric plan. I got distracted and checked to do it last night around 11. The same plan had gone up a cent. Big deal? No, but an increase nonetheless.
I shouldn't have rounded up, I think it was actually like half a cent. At 1500kwh in the summer still $7-$8/mo. But ya definitely adds up even with a minor increase.
Locked in a 3 year deal so happy to not have to worry about it. Don't see some huge decrease in price over that time, but who knows.

At least it’s not California prices. Don’t know how people with pickup trucks can afford it over there
Snobolski@reddit
The fun part about California is even in the less-citified areas, there are fewer people treating pickup trucks as daily-driver commuter vehicles.
So that's how they handle it. They act like adults and realize it's dumb to drive a pickup truck to and from an office job.
