Hey all, just wanted to share my paystub, I’ve been here for one month, I was in training my first pay period this is my first pay period outside of training. I worked 85 hours total for this check!
GiantEnemaCrab@reddit
Very roughly that all averages out to 36 per hour which is honestly really good. Base rate 33 per hour + overtime after 40 and a bunch of bonuses.
I know a lot of guys just chase the biggest paycheck possible but averaging 45 hours a week to drop pallets then go home for that high of hourly pay is excellent.

He’s probably got the best benefits that are fully paid for as well. So his net take home is probably massive.

Thanks!! Yea man, it’s a great gig. Some facilities I don’t even touch anything, drop a trailer, rehook and go about my day to the next stop

It looks great until you realize its 90 hours.l then it just becomes good.
DaThickness0603@reddit
Its a 2 week check.

That makes it worse. $3400 before takes and working 6 days a week. So like 1350 after tax a week and Saturday is your only day off. I'll stay regional OTR for that. I literally make more and have more weekend time off than OP.
InterestingMatter506@reddit (OP)
6 days a week? I work Saturday - Wed
iforgotmorethanuknow@reddit
That isnt bad for 5 days. I would just hate missing the entire weekend

Doesn’t bother me, some people it does. I’m 22 with a 19month old, so 2 days throughout the week off is nice for my situation. Can do all my errands when it’s quiet, matter a fact I’m responding while on the clock, no work for me today just moving trailers in the yard lol. Can’t beat this
Sea_Impact_3034@reddit
This is my dream schedule, especially if I can get Sun-Thur overnights
InterestingMatter506@reddit (OP)
Hey man! Check if they’re hiring in your area!!
OkSense1496@reddit
Is this for one week or two?
InterestingMatter506@reddit (OP)
Two weeks haha, wish it was one…
justhereforthefunnyZ@reddit
Once you become regular the overtime tends to lower. I had to leave 2 years ago because the pay wasn’t cutting it. I average around 2500 a week before taxes and I don’t regret my decision. Wish you luck though.
InterestingMatter506@reddit (OP)
Not sure how yours was run, there’s only 20 TTOS here. We are smaller so I’m sure overtime will be easier to get.
Im sorry it didn’t work out for you, what P&DC were you working out of? Where are you now? I’m glad you found something better!
justhereforthefunnyZ@reddit
Around the Washington DC area. I’m at Walmart now. Made 120,000 last year when my last check came in.
My run at the post office was very easy and it was like 5 stops with a ton of waiting but strictly working only 8 hours. Lots of drivers had second jobs there and I was thinking hmmm…get a second job or just work for Walmart. So, that’s the route I went.
InterestingMatter506@reddit (OP)
Good for you!! Happy for you, I heard Walmart is hard to get into. Regional or Local?
How many drivers were at your DC? DC is QUITE a busy area haha
THExPILLOx@reddit
It's a good check, I'm not saying it isn't. But I'm surprised it's not more. I imagine the bennies are pretty great. But I genuinely expected an 89 hour pay period to hit $4,000+ at ole USPS.
You rural, suburban, or urban?
InterestingMatter506@reddit (OP)
It’s the same pay scale across the nation. The hourly averaged out to about 39 for that week. So I don’t think it’s too bad, that was also with minimal overtime. So I’m assuming some weeks will hit the 4,000 mark. I come from McLane, making 2100 a week and this job surpasses it 10x
J_cam202@reddit
This is 2 weeks pay?
ohhrangejuice@reddit
Yes
J_cam202@reddit

I need to find that gig around here
ccsolembum@reddit
Great for the hours.
InterestingMatter506@reddit (OP)
Yea! No complaints, hopefully everyone keeps their eyes open for opportunities. It’s amazing here. Especially coming from food service
ISayBeef@reddit
i’ll crank my hog to that
aboywithhorns@reddit
I appreciate this comment. You sir or madam won the internet today.
icaaryal@reddit
I’m counting just under 90hrs looking at your overtime. Guessing you get a 40hr minimum and some days you actually worked over time or worked less?
InterestingMatter506@reddit (OP)
Somedays I get out before 8 hours, it’s overtime after 8, if I finish my route I can clock out. So that’s where the overtime comes in
DiegoPapi6@reddit
Not too shabby
lleu81@reddit
Local delivery or….?
InterestingMatter506@reddit (OP)
Local, just bumping docks at other facilities.
