Posted by Head-Pass3755@reddit | budapest | View on Reddit | 19 comments
So Im coming to Budapest for the first time in end of may. Im also an Arsenal fan so I was wondering if anyone knows a good place to watch the final? Bars/public viewing etc..
Also I appreciate any other tips on what to do in the city, where to eat and stuff like that.
Thanks for all tips!

Coming to Budapest for the champions league final. Looking to find someone that works at the Puskas Arena that would be able to get a group of 10 people in to the ground. We have cash waiting If you know anyone Cheers

Dürer Kert will likely have an exclusive event for Arsenal fans, but you will need a ticket. The biggest football fan community in Hungary belongs to Arsenal if we are looking at support for foreign teams, and they regularly organize great watch parties for big games.
It is called Knows, and you can check app.knows.hu, or find them under ‘Knows Community’ in App store/Google Play.
If you feel interested, but don’t want to register/subscribe (€4 monthly fee so that you can buy tickets through the app), I’ll gladly help you.
Important to know that we do not have exact details yet about the event.

Thanks, definitely interested. But dont want to pay the monthly fee

The event for my previous comment was created, they will post details here as well. Taking the volume of this occasion into account, I don't think the Knows ticket system will be used for this match. Entry will probably be accessible for anyone, and not just through the app.

Understandable. Let’s wait for the organizer to post details, and I’ll keep you updated.

Does anyone know if there are resale tickets available for the final from the Budapest residents? Getting a ticket through the clubs is very hard with only 32,000 tickets going to fans! Any help appreciated.

come back to this sub about a week before the final as everything will be much better known by then.
for general tourist questions read the 'guide to budapest' that is featured on the right side of this sub if you are using a web browser.
tip: make reservations for dinner (and maybe even lunch) in advance. huge events that draw a lot of people will make tables at restaurants in areas where tourists frequent very scarce. if you don't and just try to walk in and ask, expect very curt treatment by the staff. it is our culture to reserve a place in advance and not just 'wing it'. even pubs and bars take table reservations for groups.

99 out of a 100 bars will have it on don't worry.
I liked the small park at City Hall when the Euros were on, but chances are, if you see a pub out and about that looks cozy, it will have the game playing on a tv.

A Grund near Corvin. They've been following the whole champions league, but it's a popular place (hungarians and foreigners too), so you might need to book a table
