Can't choose with how much ram I need

Hello, I recently built a new PC
Asrock A520
a 650w PSU
Ryzen 5 3600
Rx 470 8gb
And I wanted to reuse my old ram from my old PC which has 4x4gb, Now I realize that my Motherboard only has 2 slots for ram, So I'm left with 2x4gb of super slow memory (ddr4)
And I keep getting kernal freezes and crashes in Fedora due to low ram while using heavy apps.
Should I buy 2x8gb ddr4 for 140 euros (yes I know expensive, The ram prices are super inflated in Bosnia, especially in the secondhand market)
OR should I wait some time for the ram prices to drop?
Thanks in the advance \^w\^

Look on eBay for the same price you can find 2x16gb ram or buy used 2x8gb for $50

Thank you but eBay seems to have a really high shipping cost for Bosnia
But I'll consider it, thanks ^^

If I were in your shoes I would try to look into used ddr4 or even mobo, cpu and ram combos if someone is upgrading and would let those go cheap.
I think it would be more bang for a buck.

I'm looking at secondhand ddr4 but the secondhand market seems to be as expensive as new ddr4 ram

You could look into aliexpress DDR4, i found one(CUSU Memoria Ram DDR4) with over 10k orders and it was on discount, 80-90e for 16gb.
I have no real experience but saw alot of good reviews, it seems to be using samsungs chips.
But do your own research, calculate the risk and if you're willing to take it.

Can't you just buy a kit and sell your previous kit? Shouldn't cost that much if you do that.

I didn't think of that, Thank you I'll see what I can do ^^
