I have a budget of around 1.5 lakh and I’m confused whether I should go for a laptop or go for a Desktop. My main use will be gaming (Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, Forza type AAA titles) along with some light video editing, so my priority is pure price to performance. Looks and portability are not very important to me.

Also, I’ve never owned a Desktop before. I’ve only used two old laptops in the past (Dell Vostro 3550 around 2012–13 and Dell Inspiron 15R from 2017–2023), so this will be my first proper setup. In this budget, what would make more sense long term, a PC or a laptop? And what specs should I aim for in terms of CPU, GPU, RAM, etc so that I get smooth performance and some level of future proofing (3-4 years)?
