I'm not a career coach but I've worked in senior roles at the top so here's my advice. Ideally, you would want to identify the people who have the authority to promote you. Identity their motivations and expectations and go in to the conversation with a clear ask and tell them in a quantifiable way what you have done in your role - increased revenue by 10% YoY or decreased operational costs by 6% or whatever is the KPI that makes sense. You basically need to prove you are already working at the next level already and that the designation should reflect that.
