The blackberry is the bomb
Yellow_Curry@reddit
It'll blow your mind to see just how much sugar was in one of those small bottles.
billyjoelsangst@reddit (OP)
25g, much less than the average soda in the US. So mind not blown.
PKopmeier1978@reddit
Worth a small fortune
thisistherevolt@reddit
Now that's a good friend.
srdev_ct@reddit
honeybun_505x@reddit
OMG YES Clearly Canadian is the BEST! I havent seen this in forever, such a good surprise lol 😂
captcraigaroo@reddit
Too sweet nowadays
BellaFiat@reddit
Yeah they don’t hit the same.
FunksGroove@reddit
Wild cherry. So good
firesticks@reddit
They have this at my office and I drink it on days when I want to feel like a carefree teenager splurging.
LadyLoki5@reddit
Do they taste the same??
FradinRyth@reddit
May just be the nostalgic factor but I don't think they do but they're still good. It's high on my treat myself while at the grocery store choices.
Starboard_Pete@reddit
Just saw them at Costco this weekend!! Was so close to picking them up, but my core memories around Clearly Canadian are always when I had bronchitis and had to drink clear liquids, so my mom would buy these instead of just giving me water.
Ok_Stranger_9520@reddit
Similar experience with ginger ale, don’t like and can’t drink to this day because I associate it with being sick as a child
Lawwife78@reddit
And it’s still good! So many things I remember fondly haven’t been as good as my memory indicates, but Clearly Canadian bucks that trend. I also think Long John Silver’s is as good as I remember, so the list is pretty dang short.
dustractor@reddit
I found a store near me that sells it and the cashier had no idea why I was so excited.
FruitMustache@reddit
I loved these when I was a kid. Randomly found a bottle in a convenience store last summer so I had to buy it. It was so goddammit sweet, I couldn't drink it.
dragon34@reddit
That was my "get to pick a special drink on a road trip" pick most of the timeÂ
beans329@reddit
Same. Black cherry!
blood_bones_hearts@reddit
I'd get one after swimming lessons when we'd go to the Super A for groceries if I begged enough!
KW5625@reddit
same. We could only find it at gas stations
RedBeardedMex@reddit
So damn good but costs too damn much these days. 😞
GotSomeUpdogOnUrFace@reddit
Like $3 a bottle, I walked away so quick
StrangeCrunchy1@reddit
Mountain Blackberry is my favorite.
Canuck9876@reddit
Because it’s the GOAT.
Hecate_333@reddit
I just bought one tonight! It's going to be my Saturday treat
_____AMOK_____@reddit
Bust out NBA Jam and we have a party
ImNotLeat@reddit
He's heating up! I'll bring the bag of Cool Ranch Doritos.
Separate-Succotash11@reddit
Boom Shaka Laka! Ill bring pizza rolls.
LasagnahogXRP@reddit
Is it the shoes!? I got the Dunkaroos!
billyjoelsangst@reddit (OP)
HE’S ON FIRE! I burnt my tongue on the pizza rolls
MSB218@reddit
CAN’T *BUY* A BUCKET! Taco Bell 12-pack inbound.
TheOsirisOfThisShit_@reddit
It's insanely expensive.
AngryTree76@reddit
To be fair, so is everything else
TheOsirisOfThisShit_@reddit
No. This is different. Per ounce, Clearly Canadian is twice as expensive as Pellegrino and four times as expensive as La Croix.
billyjoelsangst@reddit (OP)
Those are sparkling water, CC is soda with cane sugar.
TheOsirisOfThisShit_@reddit
That makes it worse.
ossman1976@reddit
They have cans where I am so its a bit cheaper. Can't beat the glass bottle tho
TheOsirisOfThisShit_@reddit
The cans are still twice the price of La Croix cans.
billyjoelsangst@reddit (OP)
Clearly Canadian is soda
ossman1976@reddit
I know you're not comparing La Croix to Clearly Canadian! The product in the can is much better.
jennifer_m13@reddit
Yes I usually buy them when they are on sale.
Bookofdrewsus@reddit
Too sweet too.
Waste-Reflection-235@reddit
My local grocery store just started selling them individually. I’ve been on a CC kick for the past few weeks.
mduden@reddit
So good, I saved the bottles just incase I need to make my Aunt Molly's cocktails
Sad_Training_1595@reddit
Oh man, I loved this stuff. The raspberry flavor was legendary.
Equal_Position7219@reddit
I tried this again recently and it tased disgustingly sweet. I don’t know if they changed the formula or if we just enjoyed it more when we were kids
up_scumbag@reddit
The sugar content is insane.
Vinklebottom@reddit
Samesies
scipio0421@reddit
Not jealous at all. Nope. Not one bit...
Traditional_Isopod80@reddit
We all are jealous.
Elandycamino@reddit
STFU Where did you find that? I am now on a quest.
No-Relation4226@reddit
I saw them at Costco this weekend.
Elandycamino@reddit
I am nowhere near a Costco but Kroger has them (maybe, I hope)
billyjoelsangst@reddit (OP)
Don’t know where my friend bought it
bassman314@reddit
Just killed a box of Blackberry.
It even burps like it used to and burns my nose.
billyjoelsangst@reddit (OP)
Just gave me the hiccups
Illystylez619@reddit
Wild Cherry and Black Berry were always my favorites. They're like 3 bucks a bottle where I live.
Guachito@reddit
Did these have alcohol?
FromMyTARDIS@reddit
No just carbonated lightly flavored water in a glass bottle.
billyjoelsangst@reddit (OP)
And sugar
billyjoelsangst@reddit (OP)
No but you can add your own
TerpeneTiger@reddit
No
Guachito@reddit
Ah ok! Remember these being in my house but was wondering if they were like wine coolers.
TerpeneTiger@reddit
I had forgotten they existed. A memory tendril emerged from somewhere to give this information. Maybe my first kind of sparkling water?
Guachito@reddit
OG LaCroix
jackof47trades@reddit
Why is this still-current product treated with 90s nostalgia?
Anarchy605@reddit
Sad to say it just doesn't hit like it used to.
WindhamEarl22@reddit
Costco!!!!
MrsRojoCaliente@reddit
Blackberry with a shot of lime vodka is quite refreshing and tasty!
gyrlonfilm6@reddit
They sell it at Sam's Club.
Same_Bug5069@reddit
The champagne of soft drinks
reddiculed@reddit
The old stuff had real sugar, so not quite the same but enjoy.
herseyhawkins33@reddit
Still made with cane sugar, you can look it up.
Yochillyo@reddit
Fuck yeah dude!!!
blood_bones_hearts@reddit
I can smell that wild cherry 😋
actionerror@reddit
Used to drink strawberry. It’s too sweet for me now.
ParsnipDecent6530@reddit
Bring back New York Seltzer you cowards!!!!
RoseThorn82@reddit
I just bought this ...they have the case at Costco for $19.99.
Occams_AK47@reddit
Saw it at Sam's club a few months back and bought some after getting over the sticker shock.
..but I guess it asalwaus expensive.
RevolutionAccurate@reddit
I can taste this picture.
Dare2BeU420@reddit
I just had my son try the strawberry a few days ago. Sold!
Reasonable-Wave8093@reddit
they were better than the fitzy wster drinks of today
Sharp_Progress_5693@reddit
They have these at the market on the corner by my house and they are $5 a bottle ðŸ˜
BlueSteel_12@reddit
Still prefer the Colaberry New York Seltzer
xt0rt@reddit
Root beer New York Seltzer was my jam
No-Enthusiasm-1583@reddit
That's a great friend!
nanneryeeter@reddit
NY seltzer is coming back as well.
UraniumRocker@reddit
The grocery store I go to started selling these. For whatever reason though, they only sell them individually. I’d rather buy a case of them like this.
KW5625@reddit
Still stocked at several stores around Indy... still has the same flavor and weird aftertaste too.
andronicus_14@reddit
My aunt and uncle had a fridge in their basement that was just for drinks. Lots of different sodas and these drinks in glass bottles. I’m pretty sure I drank at least one every time I visited.
Kinky-Bicycle-669@reddit
Hannafords in New England sells these as individual bottles.
IndividualAd7940@reddit
Just saw the cases with the glass bottles at Costco last weekend.
Unique_Blacksmith247@reddit
My folks used to have those all the time in the summers. I remember having them watching fire works on the 4th. Takes me back...
SirBobsonDugnutt@reddit
I forgot about that stuff. Used to ride bikes to a small shop with my brother to get some.
