I am currently on an overlanding trip from Las Vegas to Alaska. I saw this trail pop up on my map and couldn’t resist the urge to explore it.
I started early in the morning, and once I reached the peak it became so cloudy that I had to stop and wait for about 45 minutes because visibility dropped to zero. Eventually the clouds gave way to the sun and the trail finally cleared up.
What blew me away about this area is the endless network of trails and offshoots. There are hundreds of miles to explore, and every single trail looks just as well maintained as this one.

Ugh I wish I wasn't such a little bitch because I could never. Lol. Looks like fun though, the PNW is gorgeous. Good luck on the trip to Alaska! Post more videos when you get there.

Ha that’s nothing!
I would barely call that a shelf road.

I'm traveling around West Virginia soon and I know I'll be hitting roads like this (not nearly this intense, but no gaurdrail is no gaurdrail) and I'm trying to hype myself up. This video made me feel better. Lol

Looks amazing! How did it look for dispersed camping?

This the only thing that freaks me out. I can hug the mountain side edge all day. But once the trail gets mountain top skinny or traffic coming the opposite direction on a narrow road like this with death drops, White nickles and anxiety takes over and start regretting the hole explore new trails idea entirely.

What map do you see these places on? I live just a few hours from here and would love to find some spots like this to take my tundra & family to see.
