I honestly love it and love rewatching it. To be fair it may be nostalgia because it was the first top gear special I watched when it first aired and I was quite young, but I still like it now? 😅

I thought the same. Most of the talk online is usually not favorable to India. It’s not awful, but when you put it up against all the specials it’s last for sure.

Scanadivia? Special was pretty weak imo.. They tried to do a lot at the same time instead of 1 thing for the whole duration.

Doesnt help being the first?(IIRC) special after closing the tent so from what I understood they were a but lost

I'd put the Middle Eastern special in "Just perfect", but maybe that's just because I absolutely love how that special shows a part of the world that does not exist anymore. Andy Wilman once talked about how you couldn't do that special anymore, simply because Syria is completely destroyed and all the borders there are now closed.

I’d put Bolivia and Mongolia in Just Perfect, and move everything else you have in Just Perfect down to Really Good.

Namibia up to Funny and Scotland up to Alright.

Yeah it’s good but it can’t be top tier for me because we never got to see the true ending; we aren’t in the right universe.

Maybe there’s an alternative universe where the number plate was slightly different and the ending was cracking?

I love the Beach Buggies in Namibia (flying dildo 😆) and given it was made during COVID, I thought the Scotland special was so funny and clever. So, sorry to say but I would feel you've made some mistakes there!

Agreed. I frankly loved Lochdown and imo it’s the best of the first three post-tent specials. Madagascar was dull for me. Seamen wasn’t bad but the schtick of May having a slow-ass boat wore thin quickly and in Eurocrash it was just unbearable.
