Ah. I'm so angry about this.
After being acquitted or no verdict reached on all counts at the first trial, obviously the government couldn't have that, so this is the retrial.
In this trial the Judge didn't allow the defendants to explain why they had taken the action, to talk about Genocide, or Elbit, nada. The court also wouldn't accept basic things as facts for the jury, like "Elbit systems manufactures parts for drones used by the IDF in Gaza despite clear evidence. Honestly, I don't even know what else they weren't allowed to say, or what evidence they weren't allowed to use, because even the two who were acquited are still not allowed to talk about it.
And, for the best bit of our justice system, despite not being charged with or tried on terrorism offences, the Judge is likely to sentence the 4 as 'terrorists', they've been told a custodial sentence is inevitable, and the jury was not allowed any of your information either.
And no reporting was allowed on any of this. At least Sam was convicted of GBH without intent.
While the edited video of the "Attack on Female Police Officer" is real easy to find even though it was published before the first trial in contempt of court that didn't matter, for some reason the footage of the civilian security guard attacking the activists with a sledgehammer and whip wasn't also published.
Plus, one of the other Palestine Action political prisoners, Umer Khalid, has muscular dystrophy. He's been in HMP Wormwood Scrubs for 10 months, receiving little to no care, and he's lost the ability to walk . He has to drag himself, crawling, to the toilet, because the prison won't provide him with a wheelchair. They've also stopped providing him pain killers. Despite this, his bail application on medical grounds was denied on April 21st, the Judge ruled that HMP Wormwood Scrubs can manage his condition.
Yeah. Yeah. Nothing to see here.
Azurmuth@reddit
There was a retrial because the jury couldn't reach a verdict, it seems to be the standard if "there is sufficient evidence for a realistic prospect of conviction and a prosecution is required in the public interest"
Source? Al Jazeera states: Each of the defendants gave evidence in front of the jury, admitting that they damaged Israeli military drones and equipment inside Elbit’s research and development facility in Filton, Bristol – in order to “save lives in Palestine”, according to a statement by their lawyers.
Honestly, what evidence? I've looked and found none. From the BBC "There has been no evidence in the case as to what the factory produced, and Elbit Systems UK has consistently denied supplying the Israeli army with weapons."
And how can you make these claims when you admit you don't know?
Once again, source? No reporting I can find mentions this.
Can you explain why you put attack in quotation marks? And from what I can find, the police and CPS can release footage when it's in the public interest.

The top comment on my Russian psyop subreddit is filled with blatant lies and misinformation, why I never.
bluecheese2040@reddit
,>Ah. I'm so angry about this.
I'm pretty pleased about it tbh. Protest is easy when it has zero consequences. Fact is things went south someone got hurt. I think in 2026 people think actions don't have consequences...they are wrong.
Yeah prison sucks. He should have thought about this before. If he did maybe he thinks if was worth it.
I've not seen this. Did this happen before or after they fractured a police officers back.
I don't think Palestine Action are terrorists. But nor do I think they should be allowed to pull stunts like this and not face consequences.
I'm 100% sure you'll disagree but that's life.
I see them as martyrs tbh.
TheUnicornRevolution@reddit
Prisons are responsible for the health of the people there, and ffs Umer is on remand, he hasn't even been charged yet.
Smug. It happened before the police officer was injured, and that was also ruled without intent.
I don't think Elbit systems should be operating on British soil or that our politicians should be supporting a genocide and breaking their commitment as signatories to the Genocide Convention.
You obviously may see them however you choose, but it reflects far more on you than on them.
Personally, I'd love to seeing our every single politician involved on trial in the Hague one day.
Guess we have different priorities.
bluecheese2040@reddit
Lol...maybe you aren't too aware of the state of prisons in the UK.
If someone attacks u with a sledge hammer while you're working.. I'm sure you'll be cool with it.
I don't disagree.
I mean...you're a fanatic so you can't see that i largely agree.
I mean dint hold your breath....they got away with invading Iraq.
What are they exactly?
TheUnicornRevolution@reddit
It's impossible to take any conversation with you further because you've already decided I'm a fanatic, and therefore dismiss anything I might say as fanaticism. So why bother.
bluecheese2040@reddit
Maybe consider the way you communicate with people. You give off that vibe
Stubbs94@reddit
I don't think Elbit should be allowed to have a direct part in a genocide without consequences.
bluecheese2040@reddit
You should write to your government so they can write to mine about it.
Stubbs94@reddit
I live in the UK, have done for nearly a decade. I support direct actions to prevent genocide. No country should house any business aiding the state of Israel in any capacity. It's just the basics.
bluecheese2040@reddit
For what it's worth i think we shoukd treat Israel like apartheid South Africa. I don't disagree on that. But you know...protest isn't without consequence
LeGrandLucifer@reddit
Those would have been complete non-sequitur. The fact that they were allowed to sway the jury with this last time is likely why it was ruled a mistrial.
FeijoadaAceitavel@reddit
Motivation is a non-sequitur? What?
LeGrandLucifer@reddit
No, these specific motivations are non-sequitur. "Yes, I committed murder but it was to stop them from killing me" is not non-sequitur. "I broke into a military base because I'm opposed to the war" is non-sequitur.
FeijoadaAceitavel@reddit
The motivation for a crime will never be a non-sequitur. "I did it because I'm opposed to the genocide" is as relevant as "I did it out of jealousy".
LeGrandLucifer@reddit
It absolutely is non-sequitur if it is not a justification of your actions. Which in this case it isn't.
FeijoadaAceitavel@reddit
It's not a justification, it's a motivation. In most cases, the state would be the one trying to find a motivation. In this case they're trying to toss away motivation because any reasonable person would be on their side after receiving enough information about the genocide.
SowingSalt@reddit
Weren't they supporting Russia's genocide of Ukrainians by attacking sites manufacturing equipment destined for Ukraine?
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
No and whilst the war on Ukraine is horrible, it's not a genocide. It's an insult to people like the Palestinians undergoing a very real genocide
Thek40@reddit
Russia kidnapped tens of thousands of children and forcibly adopted them into Russian families, this can be considered an act of genocide under the convention.
Stubbs94@reddit
I thought Israelis supported kidnapping children? Isn't that why there are hundreds of children being held captive by the occupation?
redditeur404@reddit
This is child-level xenophobia.
Stubbs94@reddit
No, I have never seen any Israeli opposition to the kidnapping of children from the West Bank outside of +972mag or B'tselem. Would you call it xenophobic if I said the exact same but swapped Israeli with Russian?
redditeur404@reddit
Yes!
Stubbs94@reddit
Do you believe it's wrong for Israel to kidnap and abuse children en masse?
No-Percentage-8681@reddit
Do you believe it’s wrong to treat an entire nationality with contempt because of the actions of their government? Or are we all cool with racism when our feeling are up?
Stubbs94@reddit
I feel holding the Israeli state in contempt, the same way we held the South African state in contempt until the Apartheid ended.
Thek40@reddit
Just because you're an ignorant and uneducated.
Yes many of us oppose the military-apartheid occupation in the WB and protest the treatment of Palestinians by the military and the settlers.
Stubbs94@reddit
Can you show me an example of protests against the kidnapping of Palestinians by the Israeli government by Israeli citizens?

Thank you for actually providing evidence. The FB comments are absolutely horrifying, like pure evil.
Thek40@reddit
"FB comments are absolutely horrifying" the average IQ of Israeli Facebook sphere is between 5 to negative 60.
No society is a monolith. the situation is shit and extremely complex.
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
Now tell us Israeli, if taking children from the frontline and sending them to Russia is genocide, what does that make literally killing tens of thousands of children in a year?
Thek40@reddit
you're incapable of doing anything but whataboutism?
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
You incapable of doing anything but genocide?
No-Percentage-8681@reddit
There it is, never long before the mask slips.
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
Which mask is that? The anti genocide mask?
Thek40@reddit
Ad hominem is a sign of low intelligence, time to go back to school boy.
redditeur404@reddit
Now tell us Irish...
Seriously, if you don't see the problem, it doesn't make you less xenophobic.
Also, genocide isn't just about killing, it's about erasing. Poutine is literally trying to erase Ukrainian identity. It's telling that you can't even consider it for one but can't not consider it for the other.
sofixa11@reddit
I don't see why you think one genocide excuses or invalidates another.

redditeur404@reddit
This double standard is telling.
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
Ah ok. So the US war on Iran is a genocide right?
redditeur404@reddit
Do you read yourself?
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
No it's a genuine question so I would like yes or no answer. United States is killing people in discriminately in Iran and the leader of the United States said 'a whole civilization will die'
Yes or no? Then we shall see
BackseatCowwatcher@reddit
except by the standards defining a 'genocide' Ukraine has more realistically been one than Palestine, between the higher civilian death count, and active erasure of Ukrainian culture through forcible kidnapping and reeducation of it's children to be Russian.
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
Ukraine War has a higher civilian death count than the genocide on Palestine? Now I know for sure you're not discussing in good faith.
BackseatCowwatcher@reddit
By the standards you use for Gaza- there's been 600,000 "civilian" casualties in Ukraine.
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
so now you're just saying shit
Stubbs94@reddit
There have been less civilians killed in Ukraine than children in Gaza.
REKTGET3162@reddit
Did you even bother looking at the civilian death counts? Wait why am I asking a simple google search clearly shows you did not.
bradicality@reddit
No.
Intense_Judgement@reddit
The UK is so corrupt it's almost shocking
Regular_mills@reddit
So do you think you should be able to brake into any building you want and attack someone because “reasons”? At the end of the day they committed the crime so can do the time. Regardless of how you feel about it you can’t let people damage property and assault people because of “a cause”.
Zipz@reddit
Why is it corrupt ?
Because you didn’t like the judgement ?
bluecheese2040@reddit
You're simply showing yourself to be utterly ignorant of this case
Der_Schubkarrenwaise@reddit
You do not have a single clue about judicial systems. Not one.
_Dead_Memes_@reddit
Does the UK have no protections against double jeopardy?
leto78@reddit
There is no double jeopardy. There was a mistrial, so a retrial was held. The first trial was not a win. There were some legal technicalities for declarating a mistrial. This was also a jury trial, so they were found guilty by their peers.
There are many things wrong with the UK. Their legal system is considered one of the best in the world. It ranks 18/143 according to world justice project.

GBH against a police officer, fracturing her spine with a sledgehammer. Gobshite will get years
capt_fantastic@reddit
and this, ladies and gentlemen is a textbook example of something called selective outrage.
bluecheese2040@reddit
Do you not care about the injured police officer? I do. You can support palestine without hurting people that have nothing to do it.
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
she wasn't injured, she went about her week until an xray showed a tiny miniscule bit of damage which didn't affect her in the slightest
Zipz@reddit
That’s a weird way of downplaying “fracturing her spine”
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
When you've read the details you start asking questions. Supposedly the officer continued with her shift and did not go to the doctor for a week which is a little bit questionable.
bluecheese2040@reddit
Someone called gerrydamsson should be seen for what they are
Regular_mills@reddit
My mother broke her ankle and was walking on it for about 5 days before she realised it was broke. She just thought it was sprained. Turns out people can get on with injuries depend on that persons pain threshold and tolerances. Nothing suspect about it at all.
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
You'd know if you broke your back.
Regular_mills@reddit
Not all the time you don’t, you can fracture a vertebrate without noticing.
https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/17498-spinal-fractures
Just because you think everyone would know doesn’t mean it’s true.
Rulweylan@reddit
Are there examples of this person not being outraged by someone hitting a police officer with a sledgehammer?
TheUnicornRevolution@reddit
No, but the activists were hit with sledgehammers
CosmicPenguin@reddit
You're right, I'm sure that cop would've been fine with having a broken spine if the factory wasn't owned by Jews.
Stubbs94@reddit
You support the mass murder of children by Israel though. So who gives a fuck what you think Genocide supporter.
eeeking@reddit
Being found guilty of criminal damage is a risk you take for participating in direct action... one can attempt a defense of "just cause", as worked for the Colston Four, but it's rare to succeed.
Fortunately, though, they were not found guilty of terrorism. This brings the banning of Palestine Action into serious legal question.
TheUnicornRevolution@reddit
They were not charged on terrorism, but for some reason the Judge has been granted the authority to sentence them as terrorists.
Morgn_Ladimore@reddit
It has already been deemed unlawful by a high court:

Opening_Pizza@reddit
God bless these people for following their conscience and doing something to stop the genocide. The UK should be arresting the genocidal criminals that have participated in the holocaust Israel is committing. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/2/15/thousands-of-western-nationals-fought-israels-war-on-gaza-what-to-know
BertnErnie32@reddit
Isn't this the site that was supplying Ukraine not Israel? Seems like Palestine action just crippled a woman and hurt Ukrainian forces which is exactly what Russia wants. Hence why Russia keeps supplying Iran with money and weapons
BackseatCowwatcher@reddit
to be fair- Palestine action's various chapters have attacked equipment bound for Ukraine several times, [example], yet have somehow not hit a single factory actually manufacturing equipment meant for Israel.
TheUnicornRevolution@reddit
Could we see any sources on that claim?
leto78@reddit
People don't understand how military procurement works. Every country wants to buy stuff built in their own country. So, if Israel wants to sell to the UK, they are usually forced to set up a factory in the UK and employ British workers. Sometimes, these agreements allow for exports, but it never for the country of origin but rather to third countries. Israel doesn't want to buy their own stuff from the UK.
The UK has many factories from foreign military companies. Leonardo (Italy), HK (Germany), General Dynamics (US), Rheinmetall (Germany), Telespazio (Italy), Thales (France), just to name a few.
HireEddieJordan@reddit
OIP is a subsidiary of ELBIT used to circumvent the export ban by exporting items to their parent company in Israel for "servicing".
"Usually they go to Israel to be restored there or to be integrated into a larger whole Freddy Versluys, CEO of OIP"
https://www.vrt.be/vrtnws/nl/2025/02/05/wapen-export-israel-belgie-vlaanderen-brussel-wallonie/
Nothing they manufacture is "meant for Israel" as you say, but it damn sure finds its way to Israel.
