Both .22lr and 9mm are back in stock!
These come with a laser engraved washer, which is a nice little feature.
TypicalPineapple1562@reddit
On the website it says it's not recommended for pistol use. That stopped anyone from trying? Lol
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
In the interest of time, (and the fact that I think this sums it up well), bear with me on copying and pasting a response I gave elsewhere in the thread. That's not at all a dig at you; there are something like 150 comments on this thread lol.
Note that this response is specifically in scope to .22s. We don't have a testing medium for 9mm on this unfortunately.
It's an issue we've run into with tilting barrels only. However, we've done testing on the TX22 and the MK IV without issue. It's just not something we recommend simply from a broad strokes standpoint to avoid any potential confusion, or people running into issues with anything that we haven't thought to test or don't have the means to test.
Here are some torture testing vids in case you are interested!
Also probably should have added that subs will probably give you issues.
We Tested 3D Printed Silencers on the TX-22 – Here's What Happened
Beerbeard123@reddit
I'm really glad to see budget options everywhere. But I don't understand the logic on these guys.
At $150 plus even a $50 transfer you're at almost have half the minimum investment youd need to print this yourself!
Minimum_Hope_5205@reddit
I see this being a deal for non printers for a few reasons: 1. Not everyone cares to invest the time or money required to become proficient enough in 3d printing to potentially save money in the long run. 2. No form 1 wait times or dicking around with whatever ATF agent you get that just won't approve your can for whatever reason even though you did everything right. 3. Depending on how strict they are with warranty, at 50$ for a replacement can, that's really only double the price in filament required to print a new one and like I said earlier, no need for a new form 1. This seems like a decent enough deal for people that want a silly beginner suppressor that don't have extremely aggressive firing schedules, and only if their warranty isn't predatory.
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
This pretty much sums up my thoughts.
One thing I'll add- Our warranty is priced the way it is so we don't have to be strict with the warranty. We had a lot of back and forth over this, but ultimately I don't want to be in my feelings because I'm giving away my time and money for free on a weekend to cover down for when someone inevitably blatantly abuses it. Although I still would prefer not to be warrantying these, charging over costs makes it a little more bearable.
TheFireOfPrometheus@reddit
I have no need for one, but now I’m thinking of buying one just because I like the way you’re doing things and your comments here
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Thanks for saying that man, that made my day.
ProfessorLeumas@reddit
What's the weight of your .22 suppressors?
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Including the laser engraved washer and direct thread mount:
Standard: 5.1 oz
Spiral: 5.4 oz
Decagon: 5.4 oz
Knurling: 5.4 oz
Beerbeard123@reddit
I don't mean to dog on the product, I think it's an exceptional way for someone to dip their toe into suppressors/NFA items.
If you were local, I have a few friends who want a cheap first suppressor and I'd send them your way. But the NFA transfer fees most people are charging now days really kills the value prop! Anyone within 100 miles of me charges between 100-150. I get half off a range I'm a member at and it's $50. But they're talking about putting a limit on that!
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
No worries man, I get where you're coming from. It sucks because that same type of paperwork the receiving SOT charges all that money for has to take place on the manufacturer end as well. The NFA hoops are the main thing holding the industry back from being a lotttt less expensive.
Thats rough though. Some people luck out with having a local SOT that does it way cheaper. I really wish there was a way around it for you and others in the same situation.
ikyn@reddit
So... can you explain what you mean by this? As a VA resident I'm trying to decode what it is you mean by any of this.
Beerbeard123@reddit
Suarez International. They're a company that made Glock upgrades and did custom stippling. Never got my order from last October. Original owner was batshit crazy.
Thats the cliff notes. Just avoid them, I think they closed their shop, but the website was still up and taking orders...
ikyn@reddit
Copy all. Thank you!
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Normally not the end of the world, my credit card company is on the ball with chargebacks for these situations.
But now that we're down to the wire and I'm trying to get the last couple things I want before the ban, by the time all that happens and I realize I need to order from somewhere else it would have probably been too late for me.
Beerbeard123@reddit
Glad I saved you from ordering from Suarez! And hopefully the garage pops were entertaining! My little revolt against the internet safety police... I might have to do a few more soon! But I need to crank out the reviews I have queued up first!
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Yeah, PA6 is very forgiving. Anything that doesn't need short layer time is generally a lot easier in my experience. Balancing speed with everything else really takes some fine tuning. Having a printer with input shaping software has been one of the biggest game-changers for me.
f0rf0r@reddit
Or: I have a printer but it is illegal to print this in my municipality. Yet buying it from an FFL is fine lol.
Dumb as hell but it is what it is.
basicKitsch@reddit
Because that's it. $150 is basically nothing but you're talking about days to weeks
And I love 3d printing. But that's entirely why I work
Unfortunate_Blowjobs@reddit
Over half.
Centauri carbons are out of the box ready for cf filament.
They are on sale for $315 rn
silverbullet830@reddit
You need at minimum a 300°c hardened nozzle and a heated chamber to print PPA-CF. Then you have to invest the time and resources to learn to print well with it. I would say half the cost is a bit of a stretch.
Minimum_Hope_5205@reddit
I would even say 300 isn't sufficient, testing has showed anything under 320 severely compromised the strength of ppa cf. It's a fantastic filament but needs specific conditions to be at full strength.
Macdirty83@reddit
It will require a dryer for conditioning before even being able to print with it. I print almost nothing but paht cf and it's infinitely less picky than ppa. That said, I still dry paht cf for 24 hrs at 85c for quality prints. If printing at 300 I think you'd be better off printing paht rather than ppa, even though ppa is superior in many ways.
Minimum_Hope_5205@reddit
Paht is something of a nomiker for a few different materials. If I'm not mistaken, qidis "paht cf" is actually ppa cf but some other manufacturers it's pet-cf. I would only buy stuff that says PPA-CF. Sirayatech makes a very fairly priced ppa cf that works very well, and the core is even better if you wanna spend the extra money for it.
Macdirty83@reddit
Thank you for the info! I've been printing pretty much nothing but Bambu paht cf, but I'll for sure look into ppa!
Minimum_Hope_5205@reddit
Funny enough, bambu paht cf is actually pa12 so were even more off base now lmao
Macdirty83@reddit
Well I'm definitely willing to learn and try other materials. I usually print things for my gravel bikes, or accessories for my rifles like grips and stuff. I do some golf cart replacement parts as well, and it's worked well for sun and heat tolerance.
Minimum_Hope_5205@reddit
If your hotend is capable of 320 C then I definitely recommend trying out ppa cf. I'm not too educated on pa12's properties as pa6 is superior to it for a lot of 3d2a purposes. Pet-cf and gf is absolutely fantastic for accessories, aside from ppa cf.
Macdirty83@reddit
I'll for sure get some pa6 and do some prints. I have an x1 carbon so I can't quite get to 320. I might get a newer printer soon to try to get there. Some of the new Qidi printers look pretty good.
Minimum_Hope_5205@reddit
Q2 is hands down the best value for this type of hobby, it's 370C hotend is capable of everything you'll ever need. I recommend that.
Macdirty83@reddit
Thank you for all the info and advice. Have a great night!
Beerbeard123@reddit
You can use a cardboard box as a cover. Most of the entry level printers can do 300 now days. Basic filament dryers are $40-60 on sale. Hardened nozzles cost less than a beer at a restaurant.
I'll agree with the time a research required. But if someone has a NFA transfer fee of $100 or more, I just don't see this making too much sense compared to buying a cheap aluminum option from a dealer with no fee.
GildSkiss@reddit
Putting in the time and resources to learn to use a 3d printer is fun and also very useful for other things.
MysteriousAd9460@reddit
Any H series bambu can print up to 350c and has a heated chamber. 10 minute investment on installing software and doing a test print.
hellowiththepudding@reddit
or any P Bambu and a resistor in the hotend.
Or any number of other cheaper printers.
ConcernedKitty@reddit
Can you tell me what that looks like from a legal standpoint? If I print a suppressor and then file it with the ATF am I breaking the law by owning the suppressor while it gets processed? Can you file for a suppressor without printing it and then print after approval?
Respacious@reddit
From what I understand you must submit and be approved for the form 1 before you make the suppressor. Do not hit print before it's approved or you will have committed a felony.
Beerbeard123@reddit
This guy gets it. And whatever you do, don't pay someone like me who will send you three washers if you pay me to laser engrave one.
I do this because there might be minor imperfection in the washers, you can pick which one you like best and destroy the other two.
Beerbeard123@reddit
Your dog does not want you to start printing anything before you get your tax stamp.
That's how your dog gets shot. Any approved form 1 gives you permission to build at any point in the future, never before!
Not_an_alt_69_420@reddit
...so do you reload your own 32ACP?
Beerbeard123@reddit
I actually have 500 empty cases on the way to my house 🤣
lennyxiii@reddit
Comments like this are ridiculous. You can apply that logic to any service or product that’s relatively inexpensive to make.
Beerbeard123@reddit
Except most any other products or services don't have a 75-100% up charge in the form of a transfer fee.
Also, a lot other products and services it still doesn't make sense to buy the absolute cheapest option on the market....
Respacious@reddit
Agree 150 is steep for what this is. I also agree with other comments saying people might not want to invest in a 3d printer, just like a lot of us don't want to invest in reloading. That doesn't change that fact that this is an overpriced product that I personally would not recommend at this price point. If you can't find a friend or someone to commission the print for cheaper, I'd just pass and wait for something else. Lots of cheap suppressors coming into the market.
For a price breakdown if someone is interested in doing it themselves- you can get an elegoo centauri carbon for $300 (enclosed and capable of printing pa6). 1kg spool of PA6-cf ~$50 (I'd estimate each suppressor would only need about 100-300g?). Stls are all already online for download and It would only take a couple of hours of setup and research for a total beginner to be proficient enough to print, these machines are incredibly user friendly nowadays.
grivooga@reddit
At this point I'm so tired of waiting for the F1s that this seems like a good deal.
My Pill Popper 9mm remixed to direct mount to a Griffin EZlok is my current favorite can. It isn't even a good can by any measurable metric but it's so convenient and easy. Really makes me wish my SAW Shiv had a quick attach taper mount instead of 1/2-28 threads.
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
I haven't seen that remix, that sounds sick. I'm going to have to do some digging. Its not your remix is it?
They'll come eventually dude! I hate the waiting game too though. I try to make a point to file a couple F1s every week so I don't find myself having to wait again for personal cans.
I will say though, if you do decide to pull the trigger, that laser engraved washer is a nice add-on to have.
HandyHorologist@reddit
Just an FYI: The 22 ones may last indefinitely, ive seen them withstand thousands of rounds. But the 9mm ones WILL break eventually, sometimes catastrophically, especially if you shoot supers. I dont see this mentioned anywhere on their site and I dont want people confusing this 3d printing with inconel or other high end 3d printing. These can be made with a $400 printer.
Also, they spelled "Caliber" wrong.
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
>Also, they spelled "Caliber" wrong.
Chris said- "Its British" lol
Our 9mm cans are printed in PPA-CF. We've been putting them through the paces (in our own documented testing, and with the help of people in our community, such as local instructors) and haven't managed to break any yet!
A lot of the end results are highly dependent on the quality of the print and whether or not the settings are dialed in. Theres a lot of people who are brand new to 3d printing, which is awesome, but I'm not surprised you've seen that happen. Theres a lot to it, especially with these engineering grade filaments. And if not done right, you don't get the durability properties needed.
llamachef@reddit
Are they annealeded?
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Absolutely.
Just want to address this up front, since there many people who think annealing is a bad idea across this board for this application. I think it has to do with what they've read about PA6 (which is true). What is true here for PA6 doesn't apply to PPA. If you don't anneal, you don't get even half of the heat resistance that filament is capable of. HDT of annealed PPA-CF is around 190c, which is substantial.
TresCeroOdio@reddit
What’s this about annealing being bad for PA6? That’s news to me
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Its application dependent. Over-annealing can greatly reduce properties which make it tough (which is one of its stand out qualities). Its going to anneal a bit anyway just from its use as a suppressor. Its just better to let that process happen organically vs trying to process it yourself. Its very easy to overdo.
If you have a process dialed in, and your stuff is holding up, I wouldn't sweat it. But if you are having issues with durability, I would reassess and eliminate that as the root cause before troubleshooting into other causes.
TresCeroOdio@reddit
Ah okay, over annealing makes sense. I’ve had luck both with traditional annealing and “flash annealing” through use. Thanks for the info!
Darkplac3@reddit
Off topic, but where in chesterfield can I go shooting?
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Sucks to say, but private property is probably your best bet. Make friends with a farmer/offer to do some chores. I've met some really good people that way.
HandyHorologist@reddit
Lol! Yeah I added my edit because I am active in the 3d2a community myself and have printed many of these and theres no way I would sell them for less than $150 if I were to ever sell them. I realized in hindsight my comment potentially came off as shitting on the product and price.
I mainly wanted to point out the 9mm ones should not be treated as a buy once, use forever can unless treated well (not mag dumping +Ps for example). But if you are willing to replace them for $50 a pop, that is awesome.
jtj5002@reddit
9mm FTN.5 properly printed in PPA-CF last thousands of rounds too. Hell, even with 120 concessive rounds of FRT barely caused any baffle erosion.
crabcakemeister@reddit
Thank you for this lmao
zbealeo@reddit
It's literally FTN's and pill poppers
For the love of god, get a printer and do this yourself
AscendantJustice@reddit
No. This whole thread is acting like this is just such an easy button to push and boom suppressor. I don't have the time, money, or space to get a printer, learn how to use it, and store it. But I do have the time, money, and space to have this sent to my FFL and Form 4 it.
zbealeo@reddit
It is a button. Buy some pa6 CF, download the file and hit print.
Are you unable to apply gluestick to a plate or something? 3D printing isn't endless tinkering like it used to be.
RegardedDipshit@reddit
As someone who has roughly 10k print hours, you don't have a damn clue what you are talking about. If you think that's all you need to do, you either haven't done it, or are doing it wrong. Stop spreading bs
zbealeo@reddit
What am I missing here besides and external filament dryer? Enlighten me
RegardedDipshit@reddit
Off the top of my head -
File a form1 and wait 60+ days. Hope you do everything right(subjective) and hope you don't get the wrong person reviewing your application or you have to repeat this. Miss this step? You're a felon.
Get the right printer.
Learn how to print in general - This is a time consuming hobby. Many people enjoy it, but there's a lot to know and you don't know what you don't know. What happens when your print doesn't adhere? Why? Why is your layer adhesion bad? What is bridging? Why isn't your bridging ideal? What supports should you use? Why? Why won't your supports come off? How many walls do I need? What infill do I need? What orientation should I print my object in? What effect does different orientation have on strength? Why is your printer failing to load new filament? Too much to cover here.
Get the right nozzle for the printer. Stock .4mm might work for a while with engineering filaments, or it might immediately clog. Could damage your print head if you aren't paying attention. Depends on the printer and filament. You really need .6mm if you are printing engineering filament often.
Get the right filament. Polymaker? Sunlu? Bambu? Elegoo? Pa6? pa612? Paht? PPA? All print different. Same filament type from a different manufacturer prints different. Requires different settings.
Properly dry filament - your filament dryer only go to 60 C? You're never going to properly dry most of these filaments.
Dial your settings - You can use some pre-populated stuff that floats around here and it will mostly work, but it isn't great. You are printing a gun part so if you don't understand what you are changing, and why, and you mess something up, it is now a safety issue.
Toxic fumes - oh yeah you just printed engineering filament inside with no precautions and your room is filled with toxic fumes. Hopefully you don't get cancer.
Annealing - What does it do? Why would you anneal? Why wouldn't you anneal? Answer is not straightforward and there is nuance. Differs with each material and function of your object. What temp should you anneal at? Anything cheap is too low of a temp. Use your oven at home and now the cancer thing pops up again. Use a dedicated toaster oven in your garage and the temp varies too much on the model you got and your print is ruined, whether you notice it at first or not.
There's more, but you get the point.
Is it a difficult thing to do? Within context of what you are actually accomplishing, no. But it requires having an active interest in a hobby that a lot of people have no interest in.
zbealeo@reddit
None of this at all is extra, this is basics of owning a printer dude.
90% of this fluff can be disregarded because printing a suppressor would hopefully at the very least require someone to read the readme.
The average person can have a supressor printing on a bambu in like an hour after unboxing....
RegardedDipshit@reddit
Again, if you think that, your brain not very good and doing thing. Probably from all of that engineering filament you are printing in your home
zbealeo@reddit
Are you stuck with an ender in like 2017 or something?
You act like enclosures and filters aren't the norm
RegardedDipshit@reddit
This is my last reply because your brain needs to be gooder to have a meaningful conversation. I have a bambu h2d. An enclosure does not negate toxic fumes. Most printers do not have adequate filtration to negate toxic fumes.
KelpyGsus@reddit
I formed 1'd 3 different FTN5 .22 cans. Printed them out of PA6-CF. Fantastic cans. Especially the slim version. Highly recommend it for a cheap plinking can.
SteedOfTheDeid@reddit
How did you do the metal markings?
zbealeo@reddit
The model allows for a metal washer to be installed (what the seller does)
You can engrave it manually or use a laser
SteedOfTheDeid@reddit
Oh awesome that is genius, thanks!
ProfessorLeumas@reddit
How well do they perform? Ae they as quiet as a normal.steel or Titanium .22 suppressor?
zbealeo@reddit
Absolutely, I have a few form 1 slim cans, still kicking myself for being a mark and buying a dead air mask with a $200 stamp.
Hell, my pla+ FTN's are just as good and their cost comes out to less than dollar!
HaonSyl@reddit
Are these FTN suppressors?
Unfortunate_Blowjobs@reddit
Looks like they remixed the ftn series.
Tbh, just buy a elegoo centari carbon for $315 and buy some cf filament.
You be able to print at least 2 of them if not more from a single .5kg filament spool. (Fiberon is great)
Far_War_7254@reddit
Plus a drier...
QuasisteIlar@reddit
Wild how many people try to skip this step and end up wasting the cost of a (correct temperature capable) dryer in filament before figuring it out lol.
xZqvk@reddit
Probably not even remixed, it literally says “model:FTN5” on the site
QuasisteIlar@reddit
Just so people aware (and I'm not saying that you are implying otherwise): FTN suppressors are open source and can be used by anyone for free *or* for sale.
There's nothing shady going on here--Just a service of printing these and getting them registered with a form 1, which to be frank if I did it myself I'd probably price them similarly, since I'd have to warranty them.
I do encourage folks to get into 3D printing, but 2A stuff is kind of "advanced". There's still several steps you *must* get correct or you put yourself (and possibly others) into physical and/or legal jeopardy.
xZqvk@reddit
For sure, I’m pretty sure in another thread they even said they had plaboi’s blessing. For people that don’t want to go through the hassle of waiting 60ish days for a form 1, anxiety over whether their own prints are good enough, or just don’t have the means to make their own, this is great.
NoobRaunfels@reddit
They sure do look like ‘em
big_guwop_1017soicy@reddit
Holy shit. I’m just down the road from ya’ll. Cool to see these coming out, once I’m home gonna watch the video.
VAhotfingers@reddit
Same lol. Grew up in chesterfield and pass through there all the time.
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
small world!
xZqvk@reddit
For sure, I’m pretty sure in another thread they even said they had plaboi’s blessing. For people that don’t want to go through the hassle of waiting 60ish days for a form 1, anxiety over whether their own prints are good enough, or just don’t have the means to make their own, this is great.
Psychological-Drive4@reddit
Hypothetically, could you do a direct thread version of 300 BO subs only?
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Hypothetically, I meant to test that not long ago. And hypothetically, I had a brain fart and confused the fact that 147gr are 9mm subs, not 300 blk. Its definitely not recommended either way. However, I'll hypothetically take another crack at it and ask Chris to document the results on his YT.
Whatever you do with 9mm cans that are your property is up to you, but we 100% can not condone that.
We're doing some testing on 3d cans designed for intermediate cartridges now though. I just don't know if the juice will be worth the squeeze for the prices we'd need to ask for them vs just getting a metal can. Especially considering they have a definitive lifespan; given the baffles take a lot more abuse than 9mm or .22lr
Its still plenty long, but I think the target market for those are more so for people whose use case is take their rifle out once a year to confirm zero and then kill a couple deer.
Psychological-Drive4@reddit
Would probably interest the truck gun/backpack crowd. Appreciate your perspective, and your contributions to the 2A community!
Beerbeard123@reddit
Could I make one for myself for reasonable use? Absolutely. I'd probably embed something metal as a blast chamber, but it wouldn't be required.
Would I ever sell such a thing? Fuck no. Too much liability with people mag dumping supers on a 7.5 inch barrel, etc.
thisf001@reddit
Would using a booster on the 9mm can help with cycling on a piston?
YXIDRJZQAF@reddit
20$ in parts, 200$ in printer, same paperwork, math isn't mathin
DoctorDirtnasty@reddit
then make you own. thats kinda how capitalism works.
Individual_Pipe_2844@reddit
Any similar recommendations that could be used with a pistol?
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Not that we have to offer at the moment unfortunately. There are a few booster-less designs out there though...
KelpyGsus@reddit
Selling 3D printed cans is cool and all, but these are literally FTNs and a pill popper. If the designers are cool with it, by all means. But without their permission this seems kinda scummy.
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
We have the blessing of the designer. But otherwise, I agree!
Specific_Island_6327@reddit
Cool you’re giving 5% to the Hoffman legal fund but you throwing anything to Plaboi considering he designed them?
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
This is at the discretion of PLA BOI directly. But good looking out though man!
Specific_Island_6327@reddit
Oh that’s actually really good to know! Thanks for that. I’m glad you guys got the blessings of Plaboi himself. Hopefully he sails once again.
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
For sure. He is good people.
SomeRequirement6926@reddit
I was absolutely NOT in the market for a 22LR suppressor... Hell I haven't even shot the 22LR upper I built yet... But $150 face to face and right in Chesterfield... I think I'm in... Email coming via website!
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Thanks for your business! .22lr suppressed is awesome. If you are able to use and cycle subs on your upper, the bolt will be the loudest part. Bolt guns are next level because it eliminates that.
SteedOfTheDeid@reddit
Is PPA-CF the best consumer grade filament to print silencers in?
Beerbeard123@reddit
If you don't have the ability to anneal I would do PPA-CF core.
It seems to have better layer adhesion, but you'd still not want to push the temp limits. If you can anneal, I don't think the material cost difference is worth it over PPA-CF.
Macdirty83@reddit
PPS-CF is better, but much harder to print.
itsmelledkindofweird@reddit
Anyone able to give a quick tl/dr on why these won’t work on .22lr pistols? Just due to the shorter barrel?
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
It's an issue we've run into with tilting barrels only. However, we've done testing on the TX22 and the MK IV without issue. It's just not something we recommend simply from a broad strokes standpoint to avoid any potential confusion.
Here are some torture testing vids in case you are interested!
We Tested 3D Printed Silencers on the TX-22 – Here's What Happened
itsmelledkindofweird@reddit
Sweet, thank you for the response!
silverbullet830@reddit
Any semi-auto pistol with a browning type action where the barrel moves back on a lug requires a recoil booster aka Neilsen Device to cycle properly. The weight of the can attached directly to the barrel will prevent it from cycling.
Correct-Avocado5426@reddit
It says further down the page a pistol will probably not cycle correctly.
TheTaxStampCollectr@reddit
I heard Chris gives the best kisses to. Rest assured your can will be made with love
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
😂
How's the ol' scrapbook looking these days man? Hope you're still holding down the record after Jan 1 lol
TheTaxStampCollectr@reddit
Haha I'm trying to max it out
jorazatx@reddit
I got a couple from Armory 52 on ArmsList. Just tested them out yesterday and they blew me away at how well they worked. Especially the .22 compared to my Rugged Mustang. The 22 is $49 9mm is $89. They aren’t the prettiest things but god damn they work. These are probably just as good if not better. I hope more dudes do this!
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Dang, I think we are seeing what's cracking up to be a full on race to the bottom in the suppressor industry. Hopefully the end result is that they become classified as common use and no longer need the insane amounts of paperwork. I think we'll see prices really drop if that happens.
lennyxiii@reddit
Nah don’t let a competitor with inferior print quality get you down. They probably don’t have the $50 replacement deal either. You have the right attitude about common use but just keep doing your thing bro. I stopped worrying about competitors in my industry a long time ago. Make quality stuff, take care of your customers and you’ll always have business even if you’re not the cheapest.
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Thanks for the words of encouragement man, that means a lot.
hellowiththepudding@reddit
how was the print quality? Their listing of the 9mm looks super under extruded hah. Very visible lines & gaps on the top/bottom layers.
jorazatx@reddit
Print quality looks good to me. No gaps at all. But I’m pretty far from an expert. I also don’t expect much for $49/89. I’m sure there’s shit to complain about with them but I know what I signed up for. And luckily having $25 NFA charge close to me it was worth a shot. After 250 .22 and 300 9mm rounds and no hiccups I’m pretty stoked. Used supers and subs. $188 worth of fun for sure.
THERES_NOTHING_LEFT@reddit
If I'm not local how would I go about buying one. And would it be shipped directly or to a FFL dealer?
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Yes you would have to find an SOT dealer in your area and have it shipped there. Some of them have crazy high fees, some of them are relatively cheap.
Have them email the following info to sales@c4armory- FFL/SOT’s License, referencing your order number and name

Just sell me the .STL so I can print and form 1 my own
StruggleFearless2947@reddit
Why? They're FTN5 and PillPopper V2's... easy enough to find them out on the see for free.

All I needed to know. Thanks man

I wish I could say more, I just don't know where Reddit draws the line for the response I would give. They have some strict policies on this stuff

For someone that doesn’t have a 3D printer or any desire to have one this is perfect

Free shipping to form 3 to my local dealer?

What you printing these on if you are able to share?
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Qidi Max4. You need something with an enclosure and a nozzle temp that surpasses 320c. There are a handful of consumer grade printers out there right now that can accomplish this

Did the .22 sell out already? I was looking at the page 5 minutes ago, refreshed and suddenly it's gone from the drop down menu
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
.22s are back up, thanks for calling that out!

What's the process for picking one of these up?
$150 + money for tax stamp? Or is stamp free nowadays? Is there a FFL transfer involved, or can they sell direct to consumer?
I'm local and curious. Haven't kept up with the regulations and processes lately.
Paul_C4Armory@reddit (OP)
Tax stamp is free! No FFL transfer involved to pick it up there. For any type of NFA paperwork, you just need to get digital fingerprints done (most people use a website called printscan) and a passport style photo (I took mine on my iphone - but Chris can help with this).
Once you have the fingerprints, Chris can sell it directly to you. Y'all will just need to sit down and fill out some paperwork. Once the ATF approves it you can come pick it up.

I got a couple from Armory 52 on ArmsList. You can get one of
