Car Meet?

I have always been a car guy, but more with my family, as we all drive old vehicles we built ourselves. However, I have never been to a car meet, antique shows all the time, but not a modern car meet. Would I be okay bringing my 68 Camaro or 70 Monte Carlo, and not be a laughing stock?
I always hear people prefer high horse power cars, and more modern vehicles at them, and while I love my car, it is just a 427 big block.
I do have an older.JPM vehicle I have been working on, but it is super bad off at the moment, and needs to be repainted before I even consider taking it out.
Thanks in advance

I can't imagine a '68 Camaro or '70 Monte Carlo being a laughing stock. But I dunno... Maybe at a European-car only kind of a show they would be. I remember a guy complaining they wouldn't let him enter with his Mustang (or whatever, I don't remember) at a certain show, but then it turned out this was a show that consisted primarily of high-end super cars like Ferraris. He just needed to find a different show.
There's a LOT of car shows, car meets and cruise nights around where I live. They're all a little different.... But none are exclusive. Some get a lot more younger guys and imports, while others are largely older guys with traditional 60s-era muscle cars, etc. Some get a lot of bikes, others none at all. Overall, there is a lot of crossover between the different kinds of cars. If in doubt, go ahead of time and check out the scene. That's the only way to know for sure.

Show up! Nobodies going to come at you like this is fast and furious. Worst case no one really notices, best case some folks wanna talk to you about your car. Every meet up I’ve ever been to has been chill. Also I’ll say it’s kind of sad how washed up car meets have been lately now that apparently everyone and their mom has a McLaren or a GT3RS. It honestly would be refreshing to see just a good classic car with a little bit of soul and love put into it.

If I can bring my Subaru to cruise nights (boomers) you can bring your Camaro to cars and coffee or wherever you’re thinking about going.
