From GTX 1070 to RTX 3070?

So I am thinking of updating to used graphic card. I am on the budjet so can't go to newest model or new from the shop.
Main use is video editing, secondary is gaming.(ffxiv, ffxvi, ex33, bg3 jne)
Adobe is in use for editing because school gives no other choice.
I want to specialise to vfx so my editing workflow is full of heavy effect work.
Specs atm:
CPU: 13th Gen Intel i7-13700K
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 A8G Gaming
mother board: Asus TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI
RAM: kingston fury DDR5 x2 = 32 gb
SSD: Samsung 860 Pro 2tb
Power: Corsair RM850x
Last time I upgraded it was about 950 e
Now I could get used Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB in 250 e.
Is it a good call video editing in mind?
Is everything compitable?
What would be best to upgrade after that?
Thank you.

You're all over the board here. Your title says 1070 to 3070. But then your post says 1080 to 3060 12GB.
What are you actually upgrading to and from?

My bad. It doesn't let me fix the title. 1080 and 3060 are correct.

The 3060 12GB is about 30% faster, plus you get access to DLSS and more VRAM. It's not a huge upgrade, but you'll notice the difference. It's up to you if it's worth the price.

Okay. And if I would find 3080 it would be more like generational upgrade? Kind of trying to figure how the numbering system goes in there. GTX to RTX is architecture change. And as exsample 3020 would be slower than 3080, but does it correlate well between 1080 comparated to 3020?
30% is lot better to us but of course more is more so trying to undertand how their names correlate to speed and power. Of course there is after that compination wellness but it's probably smaller isssue than just getting newer.

The RTX 3080 would be about 140% faster than your 1080.
There is no RTX 3020.

1080 and 3060 are the same speeds.
Find a 3080 to really round out your system. Even a newer 5060 would be fine.
