Context: 29F working for services based company past 2 years in Mumbai. Client is offering a job directly for in Malaysia based out of Kaula Lumpur around 12-15k RM/month
I’m 29M working in a Finance based company earning around 1.1L in hand in Mumbai and wife earns around 1.3L in Mumbai.
Currently we are not planning for a child so immediate family planning is not a question but down the line.
I would be leaving my job here and moving with her. I’m Btech + MBA graduate. Job opportunities for me there
Need advice on rent, travel, groceries, lifestyle etc.
a bigger picture which we are currently not able to see.
Last but not the least would it be wise to consider this offer ?

If I recall correctly, In Malaysia you would be in the country on a Dependent Pass, which doesn't give you the right to work.
I believe you need an employment pass. I believe you can get one by having an employer apply for this for you, or you can apply yourself for a stamp in your passport that gives you the right to work while on your Dependent Pass.
My cousin lives in Malaysia with his wife, and they're in a similar situation. She wasn't allowed to work in the country on a Dependent Pass, and she had to find a job where the employer was willing to sponsor her.

You cannot apply yourself. You need an employer to sponsor you and that is hard to come by.
You need to be prepared to be a stay at home husband and your wife’s salary to make up for yours too. Same for insurance, retirement etc.

That's just for an Employment Pass. They offer another route that you can apply for yourself. You still need a job offer from an approved employer, but it doesn't involve sponsorship

That was insightful, but should wife take up that opportunity?

Maybe ask your wife that question
