I have this thing I do every week called "pizza friday".

I have been ordering pizza every friday for my entire life. Recently I said as a joke to some friends "sex is like pizza, even when its bad its still pretty good." Well on may 1st 2026 the most tragic thing happened. I legit had received the absolute worst pizza ive ever had in my entire life. It was burned, cold, and misshapen. I'll NEVER eat Pizza hut again. 💔

Pizza Hut is garbage nowadays. Sucks but it's true.

I try to order from local pizza places lately, much better pizza and it's either around the same price as the chains, or even considerably less, but the quality is standout.

For the chains: Round Table is pretty damn good pizza and wings, Little Caesar's well it's cheap and you at least know what you're getting into, Domino's ain't the best but it ain't bad and they always have killer deals.

Pizza Hut and Papa John's can rot for all I care. I will only eat their stuff if it's for free at work or something, and this is coming from someone whose family loved the Hut.

I again will encourage you to consider local pizza shops if you have any around you, otherwise for chains see above.

The Pizza Huts near me all went out of business which is wild to think about but demonstrates how far they've fallen. I would put them on Subway/Burger King tier.

Burger King in Germany is pretty good to great, depending on the store, I much prefer it over McDonalds. The X-tra Long Chili Cheese is probably my favourite food of all time.

Sadly the nearest one is a 20 minute drive away from where I live.

I was fired from Pizza Hut after one call out because my vehicle broke down. No bus routes within 4 miles of me, uber would've been my entire pay for that shift so no goddamn shit I called out.

"Either you find a way to come in, or you're fired."

I said "okay. I'll see you when I pick up my check."

Everyday since then I'm glad I made that decision 🤣

Definitely bad pizza places out there.

I live in a somewhat rural area and one of the only restaurants near me is a satellite location of a fancy Pizza place in town. The problem is that this satellite location keeps the prices of their more well known spot despite being absolutely fucking terrible. We're talking $35 for a "large" basic pizza.

Last time I tried getting a pizza from them I decided to try a "simple" pesto chicken pizza. Chicken was almost inedibly dry, there was basically no pesto on the pizza which also meant it didn't have any sauce to make up for the dry chicken. A few bits of onion sprinkled on top.

Nowadays I just buy frozen pizzas because it's 1/3 the price and a million times better than going to the local "fancy" pizza place.

You can tell I'm super bitter about this. There are so many times I consider stopping by for a pizza because there's nothing else around me, but all 3 or 4 times I've given them a try it was unbelievably awful and that's not even considering their absurd prices.

lmfao yes I can tell that you are very bitter about this. But omg i really don't blame you at all! (I mean I made several reddit posts about my shitty pizza) If I had paid 35$ for this shitty pizza I would have requested a refund and if I didn't get it then I would have had no choice but to burn the whole fucking pizza place down.
