Okay, I zoomed in and risked my vision and sanity to read the blurry scans in the Car & Driver article linked in one of the comments. Some high/low points:

• Mr. Bender spent 3 years making this. He slept on a cot in the paint booth in his shop.

• The suspension and mid-mounted 2.3L engine are from a Pinto.

• The top of the dash is stuccoed.

• Two of the headlights are non-functional and just for looks.

• "The egg-crate style rear grille is fashioned from egg-crate style egg crates."

• Each door is raised by a pair of power antennas.

• There's no air suspension, it really is low enough to get hung up on a manhole cover.
