Champions League Final Events

Hi guys, I live here in Budapest, and unfortunately I’m part of the large group of people that couldn’t get tickets for the UCL Final.
But I’m sure that on this saturday the city will be full of guys like me, who loves the sport and wants to have a stadium experience outside the stadium.
Any tips on where to watch the game? Will there be big screens on the city? Or a gathering?

Any tips on accomodations?

You mean to watch in the screen or go to the Stadium? I'm asking because I would get something near Puskas Arena if you plan to go to the game, otherwise you will depend on public transport in a really crowded town.
For just watch in the screens, based on the comments below I would suggest to stay on Dist. V or VI, near M2 and M1 line you'll easily move to the main attractions for the game and for the city.
But I'm not an expert on the topic since I live here for just 7 months, maybe some Hungarian friend can give a better advice here.

Hi, There will be the official fan zone around heroes square, I would definitely watch there with other thousands of fans. There will be more details available about it next week

Note for this, Heroes Square has pretty horrible public transit (M1 metro doesnt have that much capacity and your only other option is buses) so it always sucks to get home from there in later evening hours with the crowd.

Yeah or, just walk and celebrate with the other 80.000 people :)

Or if the team you were cheering for loses, you don't. And you still have to get home at some point ¯\(ツ)/¯

That's good for me, I live in the XIII, not far to go walking

for world cups and Euros there are usually 2 big screens either end of Szabadsag Ter. It’s not usually out for the CL final but this time might be different with us being the host. The imagine the screens will be up for the WC in the summer if you’re here.
Word of warning if Arsenal qualify for the final is at these big fan park watches English fans seem to find it socially acceptable to just throw drinks all over the crowd. It’s really annoying.

I'm Brazillian, we do worst LOL. For the WC I'm also worry, because the games will me at 2AM, some even at 4AM. I hope that a bar open at least to watch it with the Brazillian gang

This is where we usually go. Food and beer vendors as well.

Keep an eye out. Sometimes there’s a screen at the area next to city hall. Sometimes it’s a rooftop screen at Corvin Negyed. At least I’ve seen this over the years for Olympics or F1 or big soccer events. Feels random to me, but I’m just a casual observer walking by…

But the final is in three weeks on May 30th, not this weekend
However probably all major "sport" bars like Stifler will have watching parties
danixbarroso@reddit (OP)
Yep, I know it’s not this weekend. I’m looking for something more crowded than Stifler. Like a big screen on some park. Do you think that this will be available?
kAJi69666@reddit
Good question tbh
As far as I know at this point in time, there will be none, however this is a big inter-european event, and there may be big screens in Margit-sziget, and mayhaps Balna, as there were during the Euros, but sadly I can not say for sure
armin-lakatos@reddit
There's definitely going to be something like that. 2 years ago, there was a Real Madrid fan watch at Dürer Kert with large screens and hundreds of people. I'm sure the bigger pubs/venues are planning something like that again.
