Streamlight's TLR-7 series is now available with high-lumens, multi-fuel, USB rechargeable! The TLR-7 HL-X produces 1000 lumens on high when using a SL-B9 battery. It is multi-fuel and accepts either Streamlight's SL-B9 rechargeable protected lithium-ion battery pack or a CR123A lithium battery. It features a rear switch in a high or low option (both switches are included). The light has a low profile design and a "safe off" feature which will help to save your batteries by preventing accidental activation. The light easily and quickly mount to a wide range of full-size as well as compact handguns. Available in black or Flat Dark Earth.

I've owned 6 olights and had all of them break within a year or two. Two pistol lights, 3 handhelds and a helmet light. All of my 11 streamlights from pistol lights, rifle lights, handheld and a firefigher helmet light have lasted. I busted a battery door off a TLR1 and they sent a new one no questions asked.

The PLX is new. Companies can inprove over time my guy. Im saying the new PLX is quality. I have had 0 issues. Difference of expierience.
I also cant stand all the stupid branding on streamlights as well. The person im defending myself from doesnt need an advertisement of the pistol light I am aiming at him.....

I dont typically put a light on my ccw. The odds of you needing a light in a quick draw scenario are slim to none.
I have one on my home defense gun by my bed though.
Neptune Concealment does make holsters that accommodate olight plx model on a variety of guns though.

Nope, that’s the standard TLR-7. The HL-X is longer but you’re essentially getting TLR-1 HL performance in a much smaller package that also takes rechargeable batteries. The only downsides being the relatively short run-time of 30 minutes and the battery being proprietary. On a defensive gun it is very unlikely battery life will ever be an issue though while the 1000 lumens with 23,000 Candela is far more capable than the 500 lumens and 5000 candela of the OG TLR-7.
