Planning a SW trip for Jan - Feb: Bradshaw Trail? Other recommendations in SoCal?

I'm trying to put together a trip of maybe 8 - 12 days (from Southern Colorado) that would happen in the Jan - Feb time frame. I love the Southwest deserts and have been looking at maybe doing a few days on the Bradshaw Trail in Southern California. Any other recommendations for that area? I'd like to see the Salton Sea and maybe the Anza Borrego desert as well.
I've already done Mojave road so no need to see that one again. Just looking for recommendations or cool places off the beaten path. Would probably just be me and one other vehicle.

Try north of Yuma up by Picacho State Recreation area. Kind of fun to be near the River. From there up towards Wileys Well. IIRC there's some geodes around there somewhere.

The Salton Sea and Anza Borrego are practically the same location.
You also have Joshua Tree NP just north of the Salton sea but during those months the NP is in peak season.
Further north of JTNP is Johnson Valley and Big Bear Lake where its possible to run into some snow covered mountain trails.
