What can be a good memorable gift for a special achievement?

I am a little conflicted. I recently achieved a longstanding dream and my parents want to give me a present.
But I am not sure what can be a good item. I wanted to get something that will be special and ideally not a piece of clothing (they initially suggested a suit and I was thinking of a jacket).
They did not mention a budget but I was thinking around £150.
While I fully appreciate it is about personal taste but I would really appreciate some ideas.
TIA

Here are some gifts I have bought myself for such occasions previously:
A unique necklace A set of semi-rare books I'd been after A mini-break A tattoo A spa day

Depend what you would like.
When I had a major achievement I bought myself a piece of original rt from an artist whose work I like . I still have it on my wall 20+ years later and it still makes me smile .(In my case, I was celebrating a career achivement that came iwth a bump in pay, so I chose to usethe first month's extra to celebraate, before doing sensible thingslike putting money into savings / pension!)
Personally I'd be thinking of something you are likley to want to keep long term and maybe that you would not have bought for yourself .
You could consider an experience - whether that's a nie meal out with your paretns, or payingfor something like a ho air balloon ride, tandem parachute jump or a hands on gin blending experience - whatever floats your boat

I mean if asking the budget isn’t something you can do. Perhaps some tickets to an event to be shared with them. Go to the races or have an experience like others have said.
A little piece of jewellery is always a good one also as suggested by others. Can only really go up if you stay away from the stones and gems and what not and just get the weight in metal.

What was the achievement, link it to that. I completed a masters, I bought myself a pen.
I have done some other things, I framed certificates. Something else I got a display case for the related paraphernalia.

For something like this I'd always suggest a watch. You can get some nice watches for your budget, it's a nice sentimental gift and can be engraved to be more personal.

Perhaps, ask for the cash, then you can buy yourself a special thing when you figure out what it is?

how are random people on reddit supposed to know what you'd like as a gift?
What's something you actually want/need?
fightmilk5905@reddit
Well I'd buy something that's relevant with the achievement.

A true memory, forget about physical gifts. Go out for a meal together and get a lovely picture of you all.
This doubles up from your special achievement to also having a loving memory of how proud your parents also were.

Get something that feels like a “main character unlocked” moment, not just drip. Think a clean watch, a solid ring, or something tied to the goal you hit like a framed photo, custom art, or even a tattoo if you’re bold. Clothes fade, memories with vibes don’t.
