If HR is something which actually interests you then you can get a CIPD bursary. However from your post it doesn't seem like you're entirely sure what you want to do. You've said you want to do screen writing and then also said you would like to act. Then mentioned possibly teaching and then HR.
I'm not trying to be rude or dismissive to you here, have a think what you really would like to do and then go from there. You've got tons of time
My main goal is to work towards being a working creative which would mean having 2 jobs. One that is relatively normal and another being either acting or writing:)
Do you know what the eligibility would be for a cipd bursary and would it have to be paid back?
I can't seem to message you as you've got your profile locked - here's the link - https://cipdtrust.org/what-we-do/develop-in-the-people-profession/bursaries/
It’s a good opportunity to network with other extras. For example I was one of the tiny Lilliputian soldiers in the 2010 Gullivers Travels who was fleeing as he’s tied to the beach haha.
If you enjoy writing or even reading/editing/analysing, have a look at book publishers like Penguin, Harper Collins, Bloomsbury etc - many of them do internships or entry level roles in editing & publishing.
Might still be worth a look at a PGCE, as I think it’s Level 2 Functional Maths you’d need to do which is less intense than the regular GCSE in Maths. But of course, check first. Will the MA help or would you be better off just auditioning for stuff? Genuine question, I have no idea how it works.
The MA I have in mind will help me develop my own show reel and teach me to edit my own footage:) its not definite for a success path but it can lead to becoming a working creative which is what im aiming for ideally. The MA would also give me spotlight student (its kind of like linkedin for actors, directors etc) which is usually half price from the usual price which is roughly something like £60 a month. I don’t currently have a show reel but i could become an extra with just a headshot alone. The main thing about auditioning is to get an agent which I can’t really do right now as I don’t particularly have a professional looking show reel. There are people who film and edit for you, theyre usually expensive though. In all honesty, if i could somehow get experience before my MA it would definitely work in my favour!

Being an extra in films is okay for the pay if you don’t mind waiting around for long periods. Been an extra in some films myself.

Im definitely going to look into becoming an extra at some point!

You can apply for education agencies to work in schools as a supply teacher, like Teaching Personnel or Humly
