Building a pc for my brother
Posted by Davidsfromdk@reddit | buildapc | View on Reddit | 8 comments
Hi everyone, im building a pc for my brother, and he wants to game on it primarily and asked for my help, since i build my own pc back in the day, and im certain i can assemble it, but picking out parts, that i suck at. Idont know what is a good combo and what is combitable?
So would you please help me, any help is appreciated
He has a budget around the 1300-1350 area and i know im above a bit already, and i also know that there is only one ram stick in there, but he can buy another when he saves some money up.
BUT is there a huge bottle neck elsewise and is it all gonna be nice and play along with each other?

Is he willing to make a trip to Microcenter?

This is about 600kr less than what you posted, if the prices on pcpartpicker are correct.
However, google says it's nearly $1700, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Do you need it cut down more? The 7500X3D will make better use of a single stick for gaming than any non-X3D chip, essentially, but it is a bit more expensive in europe.
PSU shamelessly stolen from u/GeekyNick91 - very nice find!

Looks solid as well.
I would personally do a gpu upgrade over a cpu upgrade but that's me.

I was very impressed with your find on the 5070 price, actually and it's a solid consideration. If was going to go single-channel, though, I really want an X3D chip. (Skip to the overall averages, and take a gander at those 1% lows differences.)
That being said, if he's going to play at 1440p or higher, that upgrade to a 5070 get more bang for his buck, even if the CPU upgrade is cheaper.

True.

Nvme is tql instead of qlc. Qlc is less reliable and durable than tlc. And becomes slow overtime.
Psu is A tier cybernetics lab tested. https://www.cybenetics.com/evaluations/psus/2943/
And a gpu upgrade
