What do you think of music from Eastern Anatolia that sounds least like Balkan music?

By Eastern Turkey I mean the area located between the Pontic region and the Kurdish areas. I'm excluding these two regions because the Kurds aren't really Turkish and the Greeks are already familiar with the music of the Pontic region (they even claim it as their own, but that’s another topic for another time)
And by the way, I'd like to ask you: Which region of your country has music that sounds least like Balkan music?

Many people don't know there are milions of Kurds in Iraq (7-8 milions), turkey (around 10 milions), Iran (6-9 milions) and Syria (around 3 milion) with variously many music styles.

Yes, you are right. But I excluded the Kurdish area because no Kurdish area is part of the Balkans.

Culturally (Nowruz/Newroz for example) and lingvistically point of view Kurds are related to Persians.

Yes, that's why they have no connection with the Balkans, except perhaps those who migrated to Thrace and Western Anatolia.

Somehow, Persian music has a little bit of similarity with Balkan music.

You think ?
I don’t know, Persian music is quite unique in my opinion (but it has greatly influenced Turkish music).
Oriokoliss@reddit
I mean ottomans brought Persian influence in Balkans.

Greek and Persian music had many similarities before the Ottomans.

Ah yes I see, by this logic why not

What strange comparisons. This isn't like the music of the Balkans—nor is it Balkan-Turkish music.
*This* is what our Balkan-Turkish music sounds like. The same Rumelian music is also found in Turkish Thrace—the Balkan portion, or European side, of Turkey. We call it *Rumeli türküsü*.

no any case balkan music, neither is it similar to the music of eastern thrace, the europan side of turkey, the balkan-part.

Oddly enough, to my ears, it sounds more Kurdish than Turkish.
Naturally, it is therefore further away from the Balkans.
