preppers-ModTeam@reddit

This is a relatively large subreddit, with over 200,000 weekly visitors. When you create a post here, you’re addressing a broad audience. Posts should be engaging and relevant to a wide range of preppers. You can’t simply pick a random object and ask whether it has any use. Many people won’t have that item, and such posts are likely to be downvoted. In my view, these types of posts are not really related to prepping. You shouldn’t cite your relationship with the moderators. Most people on the subreddit aren’t moderators, and they’re not interested in your reasoning or how you came up with the post. Similarly, you shouldn’t say that something is “not an advertisement,” because that’s exactly what spammers tend to claim. That said, a cooler could be repurposed for distillation. Alcohol produced this way could potentially be used as fuel. With access to mineral oil, it may be possible to distill fuels like gasoline or diesel. Used motor oil could be processed to obtain gasoline and other petrochemical products.
