Often times you'll find that determining whether someone is a crook or an idiot is a waste of time. Your action in this case is clear, a credit card chargeback.

I think the company did its best given the language barrier and OP had somewhat unrealistic expectations.

I didn't have any unrealistic expectations I just expected what they said they would do. They said one to 3 day shipping and a week later it was still in California. And then they intercepted it without me verifying and expected me to pay the loss. And they refuse to refund me until it made it back to their warehouse. Now if I would have ever actually received the unit I would have understood that, but I never did so if there were any issues with it it's between them and FedEx not me.

In your very first picture you said you were expecting delivery on that day and started the grievance process on that very day. I think the language barrier took over from there.

When buying a bike online, I would never trust 1-3 days as a delivery estimate. This is a large 100 pound or more box shipping via ground shipping. Unless you live somewhat near the distribution center assume a week or more.

This was the site I bought it off of I don't know anything about ebikes it just looked legit to me it was one of the first results in Google search promoted.

You really shouldn't trust no name fly by night e-bike companies especially when dealing with a lithium ion battery. That being said once a company ships something with FedEx that's on FedEx and you were impatient and led the seller to believe you did not want the bike so they acted while they could because FedEx has very limited time windows, so not trying to blame you entirely but patience is a valuable regulator that smart phones have evaporated, everyone should learn be more patient and learn that FedEx is really bad at delivering ebikes 😂

Your not wrong. But i checked out the site and not sure why you decided to get this bike, consider this a expensive lesson and i wish you the best in you future endeavors. If you want any advice in the future I'd be happy to give you some recommendations and i hope you find something SAFE and that your happy with.
