ULPT: Let people pay you to “use your Upwork account” and take the cut

I keep seeing offers where someone will pay you for a few hours of access to your computer and freelance account.
On paper it sounds like passive income. In reality it’s just giving a stranger full access to your identity, work history, and financial pipeline for a small payout.
Best case: nothing happens and you get a tiny one-time payment.
Worst case: your account gets flagged or banned, your profile reputation gets destroyed, or you end up responsible for work you didn’t even do.
Upwork specifically is strict about account sharing and unusual login/device behavior, so even if the person is “trustworthy,” you’re still the one taking the hit if anything looks off.
It’s one of those setups that feels like easy money, but it only works because you’re absorbing all the risk.

Worst case it's a scammer that is trying to steal your stuff... Other worst case it's a remote North Korean funneling money to their supreme leader and now the CIA wants to chat.

Not really an unethical life tip, more of a life advice statement. About the dumbest scam anyone could ever fall for. How does this shit even work on anyone?
