The thing I dont like about Alfa is that they dont design a space for the plate. I mean I get it, it looks amazing without, but most of them will drive around with a crooked grin because of the front plate slapped on strangely
Because for the longest time, Alfas in italy have had the peculiar "offest to the side" plate. No other car on the road came from the factory with it. That ended with the junior very recently and you can notice that as the typical alfa shield is much smaller and there's enough chin space to host a license plate.
that appears to have started with the 156 and the 166 facelift, the early models still technically had the space but the shield quickly started growing like BMW's nostrils

Without already knowing, no one would ever guess what it is under the hood.

Is it a 1.2L turbocharged I4?

Wow. I've never really appreciated or understood this one until this very post. What a stunnning, menacing and imposing front end.

I believe this was essentially a coachbuilt Dodge Viper, hence the 6-lug wheels. Very few cars (excluding SUVs and vans) have 6-lug wheels.

A Vioer is basically a mutated Dodge Ram, so it does make some sense.
