PPL Checkride in the Morning

I have my PPL checkride in the morning. Any tips or things to expect? I got a 85 on my written, do they go over what you missed on your written in the oral or is it all scenario based? I heard with this DPE that if you pass the oral you pass the flying part so I’m hoping the oral goes well.

Something simple but make sure you remember your iacra login and have all your documents nice and laid out on the table, the tone/ vibe at the beginning makes the check

As long as it's not a DPE in Montana named Kent, you'll be alright...

Hey congrats!
Everyone else has really helpful advice, things like making sure everything you need is in a box, maybe move the box to your car etc.
Get plenty of sleep, and take time for breakfast in the morning. You'll do great!

As an example from my PPL check ride, I missed several questions on weather and so that was an area of emphasis. My weather questions either were about local weather phenomena (advective fog, turbulence) or enroute weather for the XC scenario.
I do not live somewhere that gets thunderstorms (northern California), so he wasn't going to spend 20 minutes on cumulus clouds.

First off congrats to getting to this point! I was told they do have to test you/question you on some of the codes you missed, and I did feel like my DPE harped on some of that stuff a little more than he normally would and I got a 95. Don’t be a chatter box when he asks you questions. Give your answer, a brief explanation as to why (either from legal or ADM standpoint) and keep it there. Don’t open up unnecessary cans of worms. Get a good nights sleep and don’t cram. Best of luck!

Thank you! I’ve heard to not say too much and to not study much the night before. I think I will study some because I still feel weak in some areas. My instructor told me to mention to him that I’m not doing this is a career because that may get him to ease up some on stuff. I’m not sure whether if that is a good idea or not though.

Studying the day before is the biggest thing you shouldn’t do. Do anything else and SLEEP!

Make sure all of your endorsements are in order, especially the ones covering 61.39, .107, and .109.
Organize the items you want with you during the exam and put them in a box or bag.
Put box or bag in your car.
Go chill, relax, get to bed early.
Eat good breakfast, fill your water flask, pack a snack or two for the oral, make ready to kick butt.
