Dead motherboard?

After I Push the power Button, the Boot and VGA led Flash. After that the VGA light stays on.

This happens over night, nothing unusual the day before (no updates).

I tried a new power supply and with an old gpu but still
The same problem.

CMOs reset did nothing as well.

After a bunch of troubleshooting with chatgbt it tells me
the mainboard is at fault.

Can there be another reason/fix for the problem?

Msi x470 gaming plus

It's possible for the PCI-e controller in the CPU to fail.

Maybe its the motherboard.

You can buy a replacement from somewhere that accepts returns without any cost to you, and try it.

Swapping is the only way to determine if its the motherboard, or the cpu.

I already ordered one, should arrive tomorrow.
But if the cpu is the failure point, why does it clear the cpu light on the motherboard.(the 4 samall led lights) First the cpu led lights up then turns off. Then the DRAM turns on and off. And then the Boot and VGA flash once and the VGA stays on
