"Report says". "Sources indicate". "Specialists believe". It's all the same.
I think there were news of Putin have advanced cancer and only a few months to live, like 3 years ago or something.
geltance@reddit
Every year he is dying from a new cancer and Russia is about to collapse every quarter.
S-Tier_Commenter@reddit
The is a noticeable decrease of Russian battlefield success, increase in damage Russia is taking and growing disgruntlement among the Russian people.
Although it's culture also has plenty of apathy to go around. It remains impossible to accurately predict how this war will end. But end it will.

Says the europeans getting cucked by their own governments regarding Israel and the USA.
S-Tier_Commenter@reddit
Have you read rule 4?
ShootmansNC@reddit
Yes, your previous comment breaches rule 4 because you made a prejudiced statement about another culture. 😉
S-Tier_Commenter@reddit
It's actually ok to make generalisations about groups of people, as long as you don't apply these generalisations on individuals.
Like, would calling today's Israeli culture jingoist be prejudiced too?
geltance@reddit
Do we get protein with that word salad?
Mekanimal@reddit
It's ok, reading isn't for everyone.
S-Tier_Commenter@reddit
Is this better for you?
geltance@reddit
so again.. a word salad that ends with "who knows and water is wet"
S-Tier_Commenter@reddit
It is entirely up to Putin to decide when to end this war. Yet why hasn't he done so? Because I cannot do that without severely damaging his mandate.
Water is wet. And to stay in your comparison, a wet fuse box will short circuit eventually.

Intel reports Sadam has WMDs.
Intel reports every north korean male must have the same haircut as the great leader.
Intel reports that any north korean male sporting the same haircut as the great leader will be executed.
_Antitese@reddit
yes, because he was scretching his hand once.

Of course we don't know what's what - but I have a feeling there will be an increasing wave of anti-russian propaganda in the global west as Iran and Russia deepen trade ties
Putin had a sitdown with Iran's foreign minister last week that from what I read was very friendly and (apparently) longer than Putin gives for other foreign ministers including china, something like 1.5 hour 1on1 meeting in moscow
again, can't know for sure, but I have a feeling this is a sign that Russia has gained some international energy market leverage at a time when the US is actively dismantling itself and the global economy
_Antitese@reddit
not sure it's even possible. Any western news sub is absolutely filled with it.
Moriartiy@reddit
that is true. as i was writing it i thought to myself "can things be more negative, when it's only negative?" lol
just the timing of this narrative that putin is losing control and fearing for his life suddenly cropping up in western media on the same week Putin called Trump to tell him to not re-activate armed conflict with Iran
just feels like notable timing
kwonza@reddit
In Russia all this is pretty old news. Some of it is questionable too. Like assumption that Putin is not hanging around Moscow because of safety as if Moscow doesn’t have the deepest and most defended bunkers.
I remember reading this hot take more than a month ago, wonder why it surfaced and is being forced now
Beat_Saber_Music@reddit
On the timing, it's the May 9th parade, where Putin has a pressure to show up in person or he'll look weak being scared of Ukrainian drones, which are now eadily crossing the Urals. At this point the Russian air defence network seems very absent with say how Crimea keeps getting bombed.
kwonza@reddit
Some random drones slip sure, you can overspam any air defences as latests conflicts show, both Israel and US had drone strikes against their bases. Ukraine was doing active drone attacks since way back in 2022-early 2023 hitting Moscow multiple times. Also Putin held the same parade 4 times already, not like something fundamentally changed
evgis@reddit
Well, they can't report Konstantinova is about to fall or Mindich controlling Fire Point, people would question the 90B gift to Ukraine...
Murmulis@reddit
How many months does "about to" approximately refers?
evgis@reddit
Two months, but it could be sooner.
Murmulis@reddit
Noted.
AlexKrelin@reddit
Both things are true. Russia is rightfully failing in Ukraine. The ghoul (I refuse to name the guy as human) is not in any danger of a coup. Here you go.
onespiker@reddit
Ehh the thing about coups is that they can happen regardless of the implied stability.
Also a coup isn't needed for him to be killed either.
Able-Swing-6415@reddit
I'm always weary about these reports.. until I see solid evidence I'm going to assume that it is wishful nonsense.
