The 10,000th e-bike recommendation ask

I know! This is asked all the time. BUT I AM SPECIAL AND REQUIRE A SPECIAL ANSWER! (Jk)
Just had a deal fall though to by an Avalon Level 3 bike with warranty and only 45 miles on it for $1500 - no sales tax, delivery, and had a cheap mirror and saddlebag on it.
Now, I’ve been slow rolling this purchase looking for a decent deal on a lightly used bike. And I’m tired of waiting. Going to purchase new, or at least immediately available (not something on FB marketplace)
Goals/riding needs:
I work remote and live in town. Want to go for quick grocery runs 2-3 times a week (10 miles round trip tops)
Be able to ride to local parks for leisure rides on weekends (20-25 mile round trip tops)
Meet friends/family at social events in town - grab ice cream or supper or watch a nieces basketball game (14 mile round trip tops, likely 4-8 miles)
I’m in eastern Tennessee, and surprisingly enough, the town I live in is very flat. But, outside of town, for example driving to my brothers place (4 miles away) there are some short steep hills in residential neighborhoods. With no traffic to keep up with / feel in danger by going too slow by
I’m not a strong cyclist, or even a biking enthusiast. Just wanting a little get-around bike.
I’ll be adding a front basket and some small saddle bags for carrying fresh groceries, snacks, raincoat type things
I have a pickup truck for larger items / bigger trips
I am 5Ft 6, 135lbs.
What bike would you recommend? I’d like to stay under 1,800

Plenty of e bikes can't hit that range really depends on how you ride. I generally only get 20 miles going 28mph on a lectric xp4. If you actually pedal you'll get easily more. If you plan on servicing your own bike find something used on Facebook market place. If you want to service at a shop. Most shops are only licensed to work on authorized biked. I would check your local shops first to look out for brands they can service if that's the case.

Local bike shop sells Aventon, I did not ask them about servicing. Thank you!

If they sell it I think they will service it.

In my area you have to have eyes on your bike or someone will cut/break the lock and take it.

I am concerned about that when in grocery shopping

Check out Upway, they sell both used bikes and dealer overstock and display models at a discount.

dont buy hovsco.com Personal experience, they have a call center in LA,USA. But its not good. the parts are always delayed when ordering. Its from china, the actual store is in china. Warranty is really bad. personal experience. I am still waiting on parts for more than 4 months. Buy NCM. Very good quality

I’ve been seeing an advert for the TM-B, a new bike design and just ton of torque and range. They are a startup company taking reservations for delivery of their first bikes this year. Do they hit your feature wish list, yep. Are they in your stated budget? Nope! But we are all bike enthusiasts and love new bike tech. I never thought I would shop bikes this expensive but I would love a bike with a 100 mile range and 180nm torque. Good luck!

Stay away from folding bikes if you don't actually need to fold it.
