I recently got a Ryzen 7 5700x and i'm wondering what gpu i should pair it with. I currently have an rtx 2060
Powerful-Ad2869@reddit
6700XT is around 180-200$. 3070ti is around 250-300$. 6800XT is within the 300$ margin, alsi sometimes i can find a 3080 for not more than 320$

Thank you so much for the help

5060(8gb) is pretty solid in my opinion

Error: i put beer in the pcie slot and the pc doesn't turn on

try plugging it in upside down

You can comfortably go up to the 9070xt/5070ti tier if you wanted to and were playing at 1440p at max settings.
But the resolution, games you play, and PSU you have all would play into my recommendation.

I think that's way too big of a jump because i would not be able to afford that.
I play war thunder/minecraft/from the depths/counter strike/ready or not, what do you think would be a good option that is under 320 USD?
FinancialRip2008@reddit
i'd be hunting for something like a 6700/6800xt. in 2026 we know that ray tracing isn't going to be very relevant for the gpus in your budget or the games you plan to play, so why bother with the nvidia tax?

Under $320 I would try and find a used 3080/3080ti. The TI versions are normally more like $400 right now but I see 3080's around $300 pretty regularly.
If you wanted to go only new Your options are pretty limited to the 9060xt 8gb or the 5060. Both of those are a tier lower than the 3080, but use less power, are quieter, have new AI tech like DLSS4.5/FSR4 and would have a fresh warranty.
More or less, More raw horsepower vs new features and warranty support.

He can still use some versions of dlss and amd's frame gen. He could even try to run int8 version of fsr4 by simply swapping the dll

Look for a used 3080 ti then, should be around 350 USD and provide you with way more performance than your 2060. Not really worth jumping into current gen cards if those are the games you mainly play.
HayesBrewery@reddit
Depending on your budget for a GPU you could go as high as a 5070 ti. If your budget is lower look for a used GPU. 3080 or 4080.

I have a 5070Ti (play at 1440). The cpu bottlenecks the graphics card a bit, but not much. I'm planning on waiting till the next amd cpu Gen to upgrade

7700xt 12 gigs
Grom_a_Llama@reddit
Ive gotta 6700xt 12gb paired with my 5700x and im still pretty pleased w this combo
ElectricalBase8160@reddit
Thats solid as well
TeamScience79@reddit
I've got an RX 6750xt paired with my 5700x.
Organic_Ad3558@reddit
Depends on what your target resolution is. My suggestion is a 4070 Ti. That would work for all resolutions and wouldn’t be bottlenecked by the Ryzen 7 5700X.
Kotschcus_Domesticus@reddit
look for 5070 or 9070 if you have budget.
CanisMajoris85@reddit
depends on resolution, but ya as other person mentioned a 9070xt is probably best value around $700. 9060xt 16gb is horrendous value now as is just about anything Nvidia.
