Help me decide between two variants of 9070XT

Need help/advice choosing which 9070XT to buy.
The models are: Asus RX 9070 XT Prime OC 16GB and the XFX RX 9070 XT Swift Triple Fan Gaming 16GB
Asus is selling for 700€ and the XFX is going for 760€.
Main use is I want to play games like Cyberpunk with 1080p 144hz/fps on high.
Rest of the build is:
5800X
MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus
32GB of DDR4 (Maybe 48GB if I use another stick that I got available)
Corsair RMe 850W
Lian Li 207 (plus 3 120mm fans)
ID cooling A720 cooler
I was thinking on a 9060 XT 16GB but I think it wouldn’t acomplish my needs? Maybe you can shed a light on that too.
Thanks!

The swift is lovely and runs ice cold. Unfortunately you can't turn off the XFX light so if you're the type to leave your PC on overnight it can be quite bright. Idk about the other one but you could game the gpu + a game for the price of the swift so it's a no brainer unless you've got some aesthetic reservations about it

Wish I had found this 3 months ago when I bought my gpu

I would completely disregard this AI trash. They're somehow claiming the middle fan spinning the opposite way from the two other fans is a Gigabyte thing, and that it's for optimized airflow.
Even though pretty much every AIB company does that, and it's not even an airflow thing; it's to reduce resonance.
anuj_sabhlok@reddit
Oh
Got a better comparison?
beirch@reddit
Yes, for 9070 XT specifically: https://youtu.be/4bvT5XvG65Y?is=HpiCaHoTIZ990Vi1

If you don't have specific needs such as size or color, buy the cheapest model.
If you plan on sticking with 1080p, I don't think there will be much difference between the 9060 and 9070 xt. You'll probably need to get a cpu upgrade (look into the x3d for AM4) for higher fps.
ninguem1122@reddit (OP)
Are you sure on that ?
Can I get 144fps on High at 1080p for example on Cyberpunk?
Because if I can go for a cheaper card I would lol
DarkPhoenix1515@reddit
what I am saying is not even a 5090 will be able to give you that fps with a cpu bottleneck. please look for cpu benchmarks on yt. most of them should include your cpu and cp2077 at 1080p.
ninguem1122@reddit (OP)
But using for example the bottleneck calculator.com fps calculator it shows a high increase in fps going from a 9060 XT to 9070 XT (even with a grain of salt I think it shows a difference of 50 fps, even if it’s only half of that it’s still a good amount).
Are these tools trustworthy ?
DarkPhoenix1515@reddit
9070 xt is roughly 66% faster than 9060 xt 16gb (at 4k, using the best cpu you can).

in cyberpunk, using a 5090, a 5700x (similar to your 5800x) can get an average of 146 fps (aka that's the hard limit of a 5800x). an upgrade to an am4 x3d cpu (e.g. 5700x3d) would move things to 181.

this guy is using a 5800xt + 9060 xt 16gb and getting 110-120 fps in cp2077.

what gpu are you using right now?
ninguem1122@reddit (OP)
None lol
Finishing this build but was running a Ryzen 5 4500 and a 6600 8GB.
Yea, so I would maybe get more 20fps for about more 250/300€ hmmm, maybe it’s not worth it lol
ninguem1122@reddit (OP)
Ah ok, I understand now
Reggitor360@reddit
Get the Swift.
Since the Prime has 3x8 Pin but the PSU of yours only has 2x8 Pin output.
ninguem1122@reddit (OP)
Ah, thanks, that’s very important!
Reggitor360@reddit
Are there other 2x8 models around for cheap?
ninguem1122@reddit (OP)
No, around that price only a Gigabyte one but 3x8.

I'd go with the XFX.Both cards perform about the same, but the XFX has a beefier cooler and usually runs a bit quieter and cooler. For just €60 more, I'd take the better thermals and build quality.
Majestic-Orange-8812@reddit
Overall, just best to get the cheapest card. Unless you want a super fabulous good looking card like the nitro+(I'm biased I love it)
nemanja694@reddit
Not the greatest models but still xfx is better one. Take note at 1080p you will be bottlenecked, get 1440p monitor
CocaBam@reddit
Prime is the best base model of the 9070xt's
nemanja694@reddit
It aint, its cheaply made and very loud, either get that xfx one or hellhound by powercolor
CocaBam@reddit
You're mistaken. I have the prime, its dead quiet at 100% load.
nemanja694@reddit
All right i will take your word. I own red devil model and i am very satisfied with it. I just haven’t heard lot of good things about asus ones.
tronatula3@reddit
Does not matter, the performance is the same
forevertired1982@reddit
Unless it has the 12vhp/12v2×6 buy the cheapest one,
If you took the best 9070xt and the worse 9070xt and benchmarked them the only difference would be temperature and even then they will all run to spec.
When I bought mine the prime was £579 and it was the cheapest.
I have a 5800x 32gb ddr4 3600mts and a 9070xt is own 500+ games on different launchers and I can play everything at max settings 4k above 60fps with FSR4 quality in a few more intensive/newer games and im loving it.
Annual-Fan-4944@reddit
Get the cheaper one, it is not worth it to pay that much more for a different shroud. Plus the Asus actually has slightly higher clocks so technically it should perform better (by 1% at most).
RelativeRepulsive415@reddit
The ASUS Prime variant is an SFF card, so it tends to run a bit hotter.
Both graphics cards perform well and stay within safe temperature limits, so if thermals don’t matter much to you, the ASUS Prime is still a perfectly fine choice.
Personally, I’d just spend the extra $60.

Cheapest !
