As a straight guy who has worked many times in settings where I've either overheard women's conversations or they just didn't notice me in the next aisle, I can tell you that there are a lot of women who just hate men as a concept.
They're only hiding their contempt and disgust for men they find useful, either as someone who will give them what they want (like a gay bff or free labour, etc) and then as soon as they conclude they're not getting that, the veil drops and it's just naked hate.
Of course, they're not all like this, but it's a thing no one wants to acknowledge either. Something to consider if you have someone in your life who only deals with you when they need something. They might not just be a selfish asshole, they might actively resent you as well, despite the help.

I just saw a video the other day of a girl getting mad at some teenage boys after they got stuck in an elevator. They were goofing off and she was telling them off. Not really enough information to tell if it was justified or not, but who cares, we all react in different ways to what could be a scary situation.
The amount of confident fan fic I saw in those comments was absolutely insane, a lot of it revolving around how she likely felt threatened as the only woman in the elevator and how "you never know what these guys could do" and that is why she was getting mad at them, to stay in control and because she was terrified not of the elevator stopping, but of these guys.
With absolutely nothing to go off of there was so much confidence that she was scared of being assaulted. Like sure, maybe. I'll say its possible. How that is ever the first conclusion anyone would come to about what she was thinking and why she was yelling at them and not the fact that she was stuck on an elevator which is a bit scary or even that these guys were being annoying teenagers as teenage guys are known to be, I'll never have any idea. I do understand women have a lot more to fear than men do, I'm not denying that, but there was nothing to indicate this was the case. I thought I must have been going insane to have had to scroll so far in to see anyone not mentioning this theory. Maybe I am just out of touch with women on this one, I don't know.

There is a new viral video (viral in my country) doing the rounds on twitter of a pretty inocuos interaction between a female and a male colleagues at work. They share a chocolate candy. Nothing romantic or anything like that but the elephant in the room is that the woman is a bombshell. The guy is pretty respectful and neutral during the whole interaction. Didn’t stop thousands of women posting thousands of tweets with thousands of likes and comments by other women supporting the most toxic shit imaginable like “if I were his wife I would feed him those chocolates until he puked when he got home so he learns to never talk to another woman at work again”. Just imagine the uproar if a dude said that.

As a straight guy who also has worked couple time in my life, I would generalize even more. There simply is some percentage of the world population, pretty randomly distributed, that are terrible selfish twats. And that's about it.
It is one of those things that transcends sex, gender, race and nationality - you can run into one of those pretty much everywhere. And sometimes bird of the feather ten to flock, being twats together, before they inevitably start to also hate each other.

Yeah its very true. A lot of women do have serious trauma from men so I try to give them the benefit of the doubt, many women like this are sexual assault survivors so their brain triggers a fear/disgust response inherently around men because of it.
However many women like this are also just self centered pieces of shit. I try not to think about it and just stay far away from them.

Have you ever done any reading on female psychopaths? I’m not saying all of these women are psychopaths, but it looks different for women than it does men.
Women are more prone to bully ‘outwards’ (subordinates, peers, and supervisors) as men bully downwards (people who are subordinates and/or submissive towards them). Both do it for control, but for different reasons.
All of this to say behaviors are going to present differently for women than for men. If you see or notice something that is truly problematic, you’re probably better off avoiding it. It ain’t fun when you tell someone they have a personality disorder, narcissism, or just anything like that.

In the instances I've heard, most of it has been women who hate their husbands and casually admit to staying for the money, but really saying all kinds of hateful stuff about him, and going on at length about the men they're seeing on the side, and so on. Or women who casually admitted to using guys as a resource. I've even dated a woman before who really only wanted a boyfriend because they were moving at the end of the month. Didn't find out until after and through mutual acquaintance that it was always the plan. Thanks to all the ladies who knew and said nothing to me, you assholes.

I would wager what you’re seeing is more along the lines of personality disorders.
More or less those come about because people learned to get their needs met differently than other people. Think of the kid who always acted out, someone who overly sexualizes themselves, and one way you can tell for yourself is how they react when you turn them down/not validate them. Also the ‘I love you, I hate you’ type of people.
Regardless, there’s still a major taboo around trying to study this shit for women specifically. I don’t doubt at all what you’ve experienced, I’ve seen similar shit from all kinds of people, but we aren’t going to know more until we get rid of the taboo surrounding studying these behaviors.
Women, just like men, shouldn’t be hating their partners and just using them for personal gain. That is problematic behavior and is exactly the kind of behavior that should be addressed and treated.
I was never trying to say what you were witnessing was female psychopaths, just wanted to try and point out that behavior for men and women is different, and that does includes problematic/toxic/harmful behaviors.

Again, I can respect that your experience is different. I'm not asking for more than that. And I'm not concerned about what it sounds like to you because it's an accurate summation of things I've personally witnessed. So how you feel about it doesn't change what I know personally to have happened.
And my statement wasn't all encompassing. Most women I've met have had bad experiences with individual men and don't choose to take it out on men as a whole. And we're not talking about them. We're talking about a specific slice of the demographic who do hate men in a misandrist sense of the word, and occasionally choose to hide that for advantageous purposes. And we'll never know how many there are because the smart ones aren't going to tip their hand.

I try to be as kind as possible to everyone but some people are full of hate and clearly there are some non small amount of women that are. At least anecdotally I’ve run into it particularly with very progressive people who make sometimes subtle sometimes not so subtle comments. I’m glad you haven’t experienced that l, I also do believe you are and I don’t mean this in a hostile way probably very politically active online so maybe you aren’t willing to hear these ideas? Since if you are yourself active in being against like incels Andrew Tate trump supports etc you might then be more likely to group people into good and bad groups and dismiss concerns about like very progressive people(since you may be one of them)? Like that this type of resentment(that goes beyond criticism) exists. I mean go on different subreddits and you can read the subtext the vitriol. I am technically bisexual if you want to be specific, but prefer the term queer. I am attracted largely to people who are very androgynous or feminine regardless of gender. I don’t think it’s about losing masculinity. It’s about a temporary inversion of the usual bedroom power dynamic, where the normally dominant guy acts submissive because of how good the sex is.
