As a queer man and I can say with absolutely confidence that straight women are the worst and that at least half of them I talk to think that because I’m bi I’ll be their gay bff they can go purse shopping with AND have sex with. The other half message me just to tell me queer men are gross or that I’m just pretending to cover up being gay.
As a straight guy who has worked many times in settings where I've either overheard women's conversations or they just didn't notice me in the next aisle, I can tell you that there are a lot of women who just hate men as a concept.
They're only hiding their contempt and disgust for men they find useful, either as someone who will give them what they want (like a gay bff or free labour, etc) and then as soon as they conclude they're not getting that, the veil drops and it's just naked hate.
Of course, they're not all like this, but it's a thing no one wants to acknowledge either. Something to consider if you have someone in your life who only deals with you when they need something. They might not just be a selfish asshole, they might actively resent you as well, despite the help.
Too true with the hating men thing lol, just yesterday saw a comment on reddit with like 2k up votes saying men should start in jail and earn their way out. Like actually wtf
I just saw a video the other day of a girl getting mad at some teenage boys after they got stuck in an elevator. They were goofing off and she was telling them off. Not really enough information to tell if it was justified or not, but who cares, we all react in different ways to what could be a scary situation.
The amount of confident fan fic I saw in those comments was absolutely insane, a lot of it revolving around how she likely felt threatened as the only woman in the elevator and how "you never know what these guys could do" and that is why she was getting mad at them, to stay in control and because she was terrified not of the elevator stopping, but of these guys.
With absolutely nothing to go off of there was so much confidence that she was scared of being assaulted. Like sure, maybe. I'll say its possible. How that is ever the first conclusion anyone would come to about what she was thinking and why she was yelling at them and not the fact that she was stuck on an elevator which is a bit scary or even that these guys were being annoying teenagers as teenage guys are known to be, I'll never have any idea. I do understand women have a lot more to fear than men do, I'm not denying that, but there was nothing to indicate this was the case. I thought I must have been going insane to have had to scroll so far in to see anyone not mentioning this theory. Maybe I am just out of touch with women on this one, I don't know.
It’s amazing the kind of shit you read and see promoted by women that if you flipped the genders they would absolutely lose their shit.
There is a new viral video (viral in my country) doing the rounds on twitter of a pretty inocuos interaction between a female and a male colleagues at work. They share a chocolate candy. Nothing romantic or anything like that but the elephant in the room is that the woman is a bombshell. The guy is pretty respectful and neutral during the whole interaction. Didn’t stop thousands of women posting thousands of tweets with thousands of likes and comments by other women supporting the most toxic shit imaginable like “if I were his wife I would feed him those chocolates until he puked when he got home so he learns to never talk to another woman at work again”. Just imagine the uproar if a dude said that.
As a straight guy who also has worked couple time in my life, I would generalize even more. There simply is some percentage of the world population, pretty randomly distributed, that are terrible selfish twats. And that's about it.
It is one of those things that transcends sex, gender, race and nationality - you can run into one of those pretty much everywhere. And sometimes bird of the feather ten to flock, being twats together, before they inevitably start to also hate each other.
Yeah, ive had experiences like that in men's spaces too. It's like how most racists feel comfortable saying racist stuff around people of their own race. All masks are off as soon as the people they hate aren't in earshot
Yeah its very true. A lot of women do have serious trauma from men so I try to give them the benefit of the doubt, many women like this are sexual assault survivors so their brain triggers a fear/disgust response inherently around men because of it.
However many women like this are also just self centered pieces of shit. I try not to think about it and just stay far away from them.

All of this to say behaviors are going to present differently for women than for men. If you see or notice something that is truly problematic, you’re probably better off avoiding it. It ain’t fun when you tell someone they have a personality disorder, narcissism, or just anything like that.
I've definitely met more than one who would fit the bill, but the ones I'm talking about are more like the female equivalent of that "locker room talk" where Trump said "grab em by the ______"
In the instances I've heard, most of it has been women who hate their husbands and casually admit to staying for the money, but really saying all kinds of hateful stuff about him, and going on at length about the men they're seeing on the side, and so on. Or women who casually admitted to using guys as a resource. I've even dated a woman before who really only wanted a boyfriend because they were moving at the end of the month. Didn't find out until after and through mutual acquaintance that it was always the plan. Thanks to all the ladies who knew and said nothing to me, you assholes.
One woman I worked with took a phone call in front of me from her stepdad, did the whole princess routine, and then after the fact told me all about how much she hates him and is only playing nice so he'll continue to pay for her college. When I asked her why she hated him, she said (and I quote) "He's fat and ugly and he wouldn't take us on a Disney cruise last year"
I would wager what you’re seeing is more along the lines of personality disorders.
More or less those come about because people learned to get their needs met differently than other people. Think of the kid who always acted out, someone who overly sexualizes themselves, and one way you can tell for yourself is how they react when you turn them down/not validate them. Also the ‘I love you, I hate you’ type of people.
Regardless, there’s still a major taboo around trying to study this shit for women specifically. I don’t doubt at all what you’ve experienced, I’ve seen similar shit from all kinds of people, but we aren’t going to know more until we get rid of the taboo surrounding studying these behaviors.
Women, just like men, shouldn’t be hating their partners and just using them for personal gain. That is problematic behavior and is exactly the kind of behavior that should be addressed and treated.
I was never trying to say what you were witnessing was female psychopaths, just wanted to try and point out that behavior for men and women is different, and that does includes problematic/toxic/harmful behaviors.
As a straight guy who has worked many times in settings that are female dominated (nursing) i can tell you that this is bullshit.
I have encountered nothing but mutual respect in 95% of woman i met or overheard. Are there some assholes? Yeah but not any more than men. Honestly probably even less than men when it comes to sexism.
I think your sources are basically only from online content :)
I've told you that I've heard it with my own ears from people I've worked with. You choose to disregard that entirely because it doesn't fit with your experience. I don't know what to tell you at this point, because it seems like if you don't agree with it you're just going to dismiss it anyway.
Because it is 100% different from my experiences and sounds a lot to me like the usual woman bashing that is so common in online spaces.
And saying " a lot of women just hate men" is certainly something I am going to disagree with 100% of the time no matter what you say because it is simply wrong. I agree that quite a few women today are critical of men (and rightfully so considering how many men just cannot seem to act like normal humans when in front of a young, good looking woman) but saying that they hate them is just culture war bullshit.
So here's a concept you should look into: "experience may vary"
I don't doubt that we've seen different things and lived different lives. I wouldn't presume to know what you've been through. So when you tell me that you've never seen it the way I've seen it, I can accept that from your perspective, things are how you perceive them to be.
Brother you are the one that made a divise all encompassing statement based on your personal experiences and it sounds like it comes straight out of an incel playbook. Maybe I was wrong to assume that you made it up but its still something that is 180° degree opposite to my experiences.
Again, I can respect that your experience is different. I'm not asking for more than that. And I'm not concerned about what it sounds like to you because it's an accurate summation of things I've personally witnessed. So how you feel about it doesn't change what I know personally to have happened.
And my statement wasn't all encompassing. Most women I've met have had bad experiences with individual men and don't choose to take it out on men as a whole. And we're not talking about them. We're talking about a specific slice of the demographic who do hate men in a misandrist sense of the word, and occasionally choose to hide that for advantageous purposes. And we'll never know how many there are because the smart ones aren't going to tip their hand.
So if you think this person isn’t telling the truth then how come you respond to them? Like if you think they are just woman bashing which I don’t get the sense. I mean I hate woman bashing and anything Andrew Tate adjacent but I’ve had similar experiences. I do not take part in culture war bullshit, I mean I assume you also won’t believe me. One of my closest friends she one time told me something like of course I hate men but… in the middle of a conversation. In her case I don’t think she does hate men like genuine resentment but the circle she’s in or part of her circle I think puts on that pressure. I’ve met some of these people and it was pretty clear their genuine resentment towards me. I try to be as kind as possible to everyone but some people are full of hate and clearly there are some non small amount of women that are. At least anecdotally I’ve run into it particularly with very progressive people who make sometimes subtle sometimes not so subtle comments. I’m glad you haven’t experienced that l, I also do believe you are and I don’t mean this in a hostile way probably very politically active online so maybe you aren’t willing to hear these ideas? Since if you are yourself active in being against like incels Andrew Tate trump supports etc you might then be more likely to group people into good and bad groups and dismiss concerns about like very progressive people(since you may be one of them)? Like that this type of resentment(that goes beyond criticism) exists. I mean go on different subreddits and you can read the subtext the vitriol. The initial person to me reads as not talking in bad faith just sharing experiences I don’t know why I’m responding it just irks me
Hate their husbands and are currently cheating or headed strongly in that direction.
If my wife came to me and said she wanted to change careers and apply to nursing school, I'd know it was over. May as well split the assets or develope a cuck fetish.
I wonder how that aligns with women who have men somewhere in their lives who are a proponent of “Traditional” values and/or believe women are inferior / subservient. If I was raised or lived in a world where I was made to believe that I was inherently inferior I would probably have a lot of contempt too…
Idk why you’re getting downvoted bc this is usually the case in my experience. My issue is how much straight women fetishize queer men or see bisexual men as pretending to be half straight so they don’t have to admit that they’re gay.
I am technically bisexual if you want to be specific, but prefer the term queer. I am attracted largely to people who are very androgynous or feminine regardless of gender. I feel like bisexual implies an attraction to masculinity and femininity, so I’ve never really felt like the term fits me personally, even if it is the technically correct one.
There's a subset of gay men who hate women and it's in the same way women hate other women. Curse of knowledge. Women can be just awful to one another.
After you see a woman sleep with two guys in the same night and then string another along for almost a month for the free dinners, you really don't want to trust that girl with your heart.
As a ~~queer~~ man ~~and~~ I can say with absolutely confidence that ~~straight~~ women are the worst ~~and that at least half of them I talk to think that because I’m bi I’ll be their gay bff they can go purse shopping with AND have sex with. The other half message me just to tell me queer men are gross or that I’m just pretending to cover up being gay.~~
Fuck dude have you ever met a straight man that crossdresses? Idk if it was just this guy but he was a friend of a friend so he was only with us because of her and I didn’t care for him, we went to the mall and he assumed because I am a gay man I would be fully down to try on dresses with him. What in the fuck. Like I am nowhere near a femboy nor was I back then so the “gay bff” stereotype permeates to even straight men… but also I’m trans so why the fuck would I want to do that and make myself dysphoric?! When I told him that he said some transphobic shit disguised as “inclusivity” woke talk and proceeded to say he was LGBT for crossdressing so he couldn’t be transphobic. While being straight and cis. And said the A is for ally. Literally fuck that guy.
I sarcastically told my straight friend to try being gay for this very reason. We then got into a lengthy discussion about it and it occurred to him that perhaps it's just gross to fetishize people in general.
Well I mean think about it this way, how many men find the idea of lesbian sex hot? Quite a large amount of them so I imagine it's not much different for women.
Gay and lesbian sex can both have two more feminine partners, one masculine and one feminine, or both being masculine. It’s a lot more varied than you seem to think.
Eh, I'm a fairly big and hairy guy, I've only ever been hit on by twinks. I'm sure for other people that may be more true, but there are definitely stereotypes for a reason.
It's double of the gender you're attracted to so I guess that makes sense, the problem would be how they act about it, like do are you just not bothered by it being gay/lesbian porn or do you actively seek gay/lesbian people to act shitty towards so you can fill out your fantasy
It's absolutely insane to say that women are the majority consumer of gay porn. Just because some women like it doesn't mean that it's not mostly gay men watching it.
Idk why you're getting downvoted. This would only make sense if you completely ignored gender biases, social stigmas, and how differently people perceive male vs. female sexuality.
Just because Reddit is so fucking pedantic, I'll add that *some* women will find it hot, but definitely not the majority.
I think a big part of it is for most of your life as a man a lot of women really hammer in this idea that you are a perv and they are somehow above that. So you work hard to be the person they think you can be only to realize they were just lying about being pervs (but the judgement is still somehow there)
I don’t think it is? Like sure, lesbian sex it’s hot, I would watch my girl fucked some other girl, that’s hot. I wouldn’t fantasized about my girl secretly being a lesbian or some shit and in none of those cases there would be weird angle of her being closeted or less valuable less of a woman or whatever for it
Yeah, she’s bi (prob like 80% straight by she made out with like two girls when she was 16 something it’s something), but I wouldn’t have weird fantasize about her secretly being a closeted lesbian or soemthing like that
I once dated a girl who admitted that one of her ultimate fantasies would be for another guy to fuck me in the ass and dominate me. I asked her if this would cause her to lose respect for me, she said yes.
This is a complex fetish that I imagine comes from her not respecting you in the first place, and fantasizing about a physical embodiment of her self hatred for not being strong enough to leave you.
Men fantasizing about women fucking women, and women fantasizing about men fucking men, are "very far examples from each other"? Seems like a mirror image to me.
Fantasizing about lesbians wasn't specific to anyone, but let's assume girlfriend - it's just two girls having fun and it's not implied I made them do it
The other example is straight up imposing anal sex on your man and watch him lose his masculinity in front of you and that's supposed to be hot and turning on. That's a gay rape humiliation fantasy with a cuck side.
You’re just adding the rape and imposition parts yourself because you wouldn’t be into it. The women who are into this are imagining their man as a very very willing participant.
And getting fucked does not have to be humiliating either, especially to a woman who does not see receiving a penis as inherently degrading the way a lot of men seem to view it.
I don’t think it’s about losing masculinity. It’s about a temporary inversion of the usual bedroom power dynamic, where the normally dominant guy acts submissive because of how good the sex is. The girlfriend gets to see him feel good in a way she can’t make happen herself. And the fact that it’s out of character in a way makes it hotter to her.
I’m a man who’s more into women, but I can relate to the appeal. Personally, the more dominant, strong-willed and competent a woman is, the hotter it is to see her be submissive in bed. But seeing her that way doesn’t make me lose respect for her normally or make her any less actually competent in real life.
All that being said, yeah some women would lose respect for their man after that. Just like some lose respect after seeing their man cry, like he’s not supposed to have feelings. But that’s probably cause they’ve got a fucked up view of sex, masculinity and femininity themselves. The real keepers who want to see their bf get railed would be even more attracted to him afterward.
I think it’s kinda just a reality that if you’re attracted to one gender the idea of two of that gender fucking is going to be appealing to some.
Never mind that a threesome which I gather is a pretty common fantasy in general and a lot of those fantasy doesn’t involve two straight people awkwardly ignoring each other while they focus on the lone girl/boy atleast generally. I’m sure someone somewhere gets off to the idea of being the focus of two people who are obviously trying really hard not to look at each other’s genitals.
And naturally some people are going to be weird about it. Cause humanity as a whole is incapable of being normal.
As someone that was...only slightly interested in sex all my life...woman love a guy that they can't have. I always say the best way to get a gf is to not want one and so far...that statement is still very true.
The fetish is that they’re statistically so hesitant of Bisexual men that they obsessively want to make sure that it’s not a concern to fear, and this extends to how much more strongly women enforce traditional gender roles onto men as part of their attraction.
And just because they love Yaoi doesn’t change this; 90% of it is written with the effeminate submissive male partner being a stand-in for the woman, while the man is still the dominant masculine man that they want in real-life.
I remember (not exactly when) a bunch of girls found out their boyfriends were secretly gay from a gay man on TikTok who exposed certain signs including toxicity, verbal abuse, and etc and a lot of girls believe that men who are extremely toxic to their girlfriends are secretly gay.
Many years ago when we were teenagers and having a computer in the house was new. I found my older sisters porn stash folder. It was all gay porn. Lots and lots of gay porn.
I didn't think much of it. Later that same week I walked into the living room late at night and there she was staring at it.
I walked away.
I didn't keep porn on the computer for people to find. I did however develop a habit of printing off stuff to jerk to it later. Turns out what I would look for was lesbians.
Based on my teenage research: people like watching what they like, doubled.
My "bi-sexual" (pretty sure she's really an asexual who is lesbian leaning) ex-gf constantly posts Spock x Kirk and a bunch of other gay ships on her Tumblr and had done so for years, granted I'm a straight cis male and my favorite pairing is a pair of lesbian teens from a Gundam series so who TF knows.

You work in nursing and haven’t noticed that half your coworkers hate their husbands? Your experience is very different than mine lol
Soleil06@reddit
Yeah, they do not. In fact most absolutly love their husbands and very much enjoy spending time with them and their kids.
ocarina_vendor@reddit
Hate their husbands and are currently cheating or headed strongly in that direction.
If my wife came to me and said she wanted to change careers and apply to nursing school, I'd know it was over. May as well split the assets or develope a cuck fetish.
lostat@reddit
I wonder how that aligns with women who have men somewhere in their lives who are a proponent of “Traditional” values and/or believe women are inferior / subservient. If I was raised or lived in a world where I was made to believe that I was inherently inferior I would probably have a lot of contempt too…
Ronin_Akira_vt@reddit
Idk why you’re getting downvoted bc this is usually the case in my experience. My issue is how much straight women fetishize queer men or see bisexual men as pretending to be half straight so they don’t have to admit that they’re gay.
lostat@reddit
Oh yeah that’s absolutely also a problem. As I’ve said many times before: more than one thing can be bad or wrong.

Ronin_Akira_vt@reddit

Well I mean think about it this way, how many men find the idea of lesbian sex hot? Quite a large amount of them so I imagine it's not much different for women.
MrBingly@reddit
Lesbian sex is still typically feminine. Gay sex only one guy is masculine. They're not the same thing.
You'll probably will only see as many women into gay sex as men that are into muscle mommies.
biscuitboyisaac21@reddit
There are a lot of women Into gay sex. It’s a massive thing.

A lot, but it isn't usual. Far from the levels of men interested in lesbian sex, which is probably close to being all men.

I think a big part of it is for most of your life as a man a lot of women really hammer in this idea that you are a perv and they are somehow above that. I don’t think it is? Like sure, lesbian sex it’s hot, I would watch my girl fucked some other girl, that’s hot. VicisSubsisto@reddit
Men fantasizing about women fucking women, and women fantasizing about men fucking men, are "very far examples from each other"? Seems like a mirror image to me.
ItsHighSpoon@reddit
Fantasizing about lesbians wasn't specific to anyone, but let's assume girlfriend - it's just two girls having fun and it's not implied I made them do it
The other example is straight up imposing anal sex on your man and watch him lose his masculinity in front of you and that's supposed to be hot and turning on. That's a gay rape humiliation fantasy with a cuck side.
Am_i_banned_yet__@reddit
The real keepers who want to see their bf get railed would be even more attracted to him afterward.

as a straight man who has fucked many women in his life this conversation thread is pathetic and sad.
blueracey@reddit
Yeah cause men don’t fetishize gay woman at all.

Trancetastic16@reddit
The fetish is that they’re statistically so hesitant of Bisexual men that they obsessively want to make sure that it’s not a concern to fear, and this extends to how much more strongly women enforce traditional gender roles onto men as part of their attraction.
And just because they love Yaoi doesn’t change this; 90% of it is written with the effeminate submissive male partner being a stand-in for the woman, while the man is still the dominant masculine man that they want in real-life.
