It's a very far out and abstract track that goes against the perception of Kenny Rogers.

I don't know his music at all, but one would expect fairly standard country with some rock sensibilities.

The use of Just Dropped In for Lebowski is inspired. Just God-Teir filmmaking. The absolute fucking strangeness of The Dude's visions in time with the music. You wake up in a daze, was that fucking Kenny Fuckin Rogers, Mann?

Perhaps the finest needledrop in a film littered with some of the best needledrops of all time.

Ha, same. Most of my context for Kenny Rogers comes from Mad TV and Seinfeld. Google tells me he didn’t even drink alcohol so I don’t know what they were going for.
