While a lot of those early VHS boxes had claims that may ir have may not been true, the banned in X number of countries "can" be true for many, but not always for the reason you would think. Its animal cruelty that caused most of those old movies to receive bans. Cannibal ferox/make them die slowly (same movie 2 diff names) was banned for the killing of a turtle. Faces of death has a lot of fake stuff in it, but the animal scenes are, unfortunately, usually real.
