I don’t know what people expect. If you look into fujimoto’s other work like firepunch you’d realize that this guy is straight up nuts.

It’s actually a miracle that chainsaw man was as grounded as it was considering who wrote it.

I love his work, but yes fujimoto is insane. I did not understand the ending of fire punch. Chainsaw mans ending was ass but tbf most of part 2 was not very good. I still really like his writing style.

True, but going further: his one-shots and CSM part 1 are actually decent. So, my theory is that the author just can't with long storylines. Both he and his editors need to realize that asap, and stary focusing on his strenghts, not his weaknesses.

Yeah, the movies "look back" and "chainsaw man movie" were excellent. But he struggles with long narratives. Chainsaw man pt.2 kinda sucked, and he was out of steam. The length of his storylines should roughly fit into a movie and not more IMO.
