Not exactly the Jews’ fault. It was coined by a German guy who didn’t like Jews in the 1880s and wanted it to sound more fancy.

I don’t think he considered how it would affect Arabs since there were effectively no arabs(yet) in Germany it that time.

Modern Hebrew isn't even the same language as the ancient Hebrew spoken long ago. Hebrew was a dead language for centuries. then they tried to bring it back last century, but they'd forgotten most of it. So they filled in the parts they didn't know with yiddish.

You might want to read up on virtually every language in the world.

BTW as a native Hebrew speaker, Yiddish is completely unintelligible to me. The closest language would be Arabic to my knowledge, and even that is very different.

it includes characteristics derived from all periods of Hebrew language, as well as from the non-Hebrew languages used by the long-established European, North African, and Middle Eastern Jewish communities, with Yiddish being predominant.

Hebrew has never been a dead language. Every single Jew at some point in their lives learn to speak it to some capacity. It was mainly spoken in clerical and religious discussion as the "holy tongue" so it needed some updating when it was expanded to full modern day usage, like any other language.

Believe it or not, there's no words for car, or telephone in a 2000 year old language.
