This is true. Everyone thinks they'll just slink off into the woods and hunt, but there's only like 40 million deer to over 300 million Americans.

You'll have to grow food, but as a hobby gardener myself, not everyone is going to be able to do that. Water shortage and your entire crop is toast. Then, you have to worry about pests and disease, as well. I lose a lot of my harvest to those two.

Not everyone has access to fertile enough soil or even sunlight/ land, either.

In the apocalypse scenario, like 95% of us are toast, easily.
