Third time is a charm?
Got one a couple weeks ago when they were this price, cosmetically worn but in fine mechanical shape.

Royal Tiger Imports has them for $200 right now. Comes with gun, holster magazine pouch and cleaning rod. For an extra $30 you can get another magazine and pouch. Picked mine up last week and I'm pleased

These are one of the most difficult pistols I have ever encountered to detail strip and get back together if you decide to refinish.
Getting the sear spring set is a matter of pure luck it seems.

The flaking finish is fairly common on the 82. My dad and I got a pair 6 years ago and they both have it too. I don’t think I’ve seen one (used often) that doesn’t. Still one of my favorite carry guns

I'm definitely getting old because I remember when these were a solid budget CCW option before purpose built carry guns were widely available. 12+1 in an ok cartridge in a gun with a small footprint used to be difficult to find, not the standard.

Honestly, I've definitely thought about carrying mine. It fits the bill in every requirement and is super easy to shoot. Probably one of the pistols I've shot the best with.

I got mine in the mail Monday and it shoots like a dream. As everyone else has already mentioned, the exterior is a little rough. Definitely not “excellent” like they rated them in the last post. Keep in mind a spare mags are a little hard to find right now so you might be better off with one of the Aim or RTI sales just based on that alone.

They’re probably the best 9x18 makarov handguns. Fantastic DA/SA triggers, good safety placement, 12+1 capacity in what’s basically .380+p. It’s a shame nobody makes the original czech load. In college as a collector I had to pick between my collection and practicality because budget, the cz82 is still one of my favorite carry guns especially in the spring and summer.

I always carried mine single action with the safety on. The double action on them is more a backup if a round doesn’t go off, you have to thumb the hammer down so I never did. Have yet to even need the double action on mine either.

Again, PSA can suck it. After shipping, tax, and FFL transfer, spend a little more and get the same gun with holster, extra mag + mag holster, from AIMS.

The whole point of this deal is to use your C&R FFL to save on the transfer fee. I mean, its like $30 for the C&R FFL and you're already broke even after the first buy.

They actually do, while they are not 50 years old, they are considered historically significant and are on the ATFs “approved” list of C&R guns that are exempt from the 50 year old rule

Mine came with a old nylon holster. If you excluded the front strap, I would rate condition 90%+. However my front strap had 5% finish left. That is a well known issue and wear point for these guns. Not really a big issue in my opinion. Accuracy is great and the trigger is that creamy smoothness you only get with a well broken in DA/SA.

I ordered 2 a few weeks ago, one was extremely dirty and internally worn but all of the parts were there (even had a couple of new springs), the other one was very, very clean inside and looked like it had barely been fired. Both had about 90% finish.

I got mine, pretty heavy slide wear from holster use but also came with an old nylon holster circa like 2005 - still need to get ammo for it but mechanically it is reminding me why people choose to carry hammer guns over strikers. The SA trigger is NICE.
