I know someone who did this. They dedicated one full year before enrolling to study the language and then kept learning the language during their studies. If you're not driven, forget about it.

Well unless you are at least at a B2 level in Hungarian I'd say you're fucked. Sure the programming itself is English and I doubt anyone would mind English variables and function names but that's a fairly small part of CS plus sure you could do the coding but you won't understand the problem itself and you won't be able to understand the task and you can't write any documentation. Sure I had a prof who had English notes while he taught in Hungarian but that was 1 of many. CS is highly theoretical and you need to know the language for that.

What do you mean exactly about theoretical part of CS i dont mind learning math and other stuff in hungarian but what about C++ or java are the books in hungarian language except for the coding part or is it written in english and explained in hungarian or is it something else? Im willing to see your answer

Sorry, but if you are not semi-fluent in Hungarian, you are fucked. Not in a romantic, but more like in a prison rape style.

hehe cool you are at least brave 😃 you will definitely have a hard time, but have the opportunity to learn one of the hardest languages in the world.... 😃 i think nothing is impossible, but you should calculate with min. 1-2 extra years, as you learn the language and repeat some of the courses. megeszem a kalapom, if you get through this, but i wish you good luck, you will enjoy the love of the hungarian people, if you really make the effort to speak our language. hungarian cs is on average very theory-oriented, old-school C programming, lot of math, but gives you a pretty wide ground to step into the it carreer.

for almost every english technical term exists a hungarian translation. u have to learn both - so you can write your programs and comments in english, but you have to declare them in hungarian and learn hungarian math, hungarian statistics, hungarian hardware components, hungarian network and so on. i don't know which language do you speak the most, but i think u can imagine a CS in your homeland in your native language.

You're mad. Hungarian is one of the hardest languages in the world. You have absolutely no chance at learning a single thing, and professors have no obligation to tell you anything in English. In fact they'd get in trouble if they switch to English during a class and someone reports this to the admin.
At this point don't even bother, it's easier to learn CS by just buying a couple of English books and reading them.

Wait so you will enroll in hungarian classes and you dont speak hungarian? You will miss all the lectures, and a lot of the exams are also in hungarian. the teachers have the study material in english as well usually, if you dont inderstand hungarian you will have a very hard time, try to talk with your teachers. Sadly a lot of hungarian students surprisingly cant even speak english. Which university are you going to attend?
