Dating with Balkan man

Is it just my experience, or are Balkan guys generally more straightforward when dating? Like less small talk, less “dating games” and more getting straight to the point?
I know not everyone is the same, just curious about the general vibe \^\^
gaia_28@reddit
nope :) that’s just your experience. people are different.
User20242024@reddit
No. You just met an extrovert. I am an introvert and I also have social anxiety, so I never had success in dating.
Early_Disaster9213@reddit
We don't waste time . We are men with true sense ,knowing very good how to treat our lady ,what to offer , not boys thinking what if they can have period ...
gesti2002@reddit
U can’t generalize millions of people with different ethnicities
1970ivan@reddit
Yeah only we can do that here /s

I agree. I dated a Balkan man who was amazing and gentle but direct in where he sees the relationship going. In a year he was already talking about marriage and finding an apartment for us.
Although I have to say he forget to tell me he was already married
Ujemegaz@reddit
Doesn't mean he loves you less, just less than citizenship 😂
wtfisthissssssssssss@reddit
He has dual citizenship. Stronger passport than mine.
Guess he just … loved me less. lol

İ never had a date type thing sadly/thanks to my ill head but i had a friend that keep going straightpoint to last objective,i had a friend keep doin long dates but leavin,i had a friend havin only one date/relationship but sadly seperatin ways. Soo idk its like mixed salad of chance for what type u get i guess?
Kooky_Appeal_6554@reddit
That won't work. But I don't blame the Balkan men for that.
kamarjera@reddit
They take their women for granted. Women who are not only beautiful, but hard working too; who deserve to be loved and respected. When they get married to Western European men it’s usually a win-win situation for both sides.
Efficient_Resource15@reddit
Don't talk for all of us, many of us appreciate our women
kamarjera@reddit
Well, of course there ARE exceptions.
bnuuy_exe@reddit
Balkan is a very broad term. Each country has its own culture and not everyone follows it. The only distinct disturbing behaviour I had noticed was in Greece. Idk why it's considered cute to call a woman "little/little girl" when she's as tall as you are, or tell her you've never been with a slavic woman before 🤢. Every man I met there also kept stalking me for years or even go out of their way to do something bad after being rejected. Overall I've met kind men who respected women but also absolute garbage regardless of the place, but Greece definitely stood out and for no good reason.

Trash attracts trash
Early-Show2886@reddit
I agree with you there. But unfortunately, most of the questions here are only about Greece and Turkey, or, like the OP's, are written out of ignorance. That has nothing to do with the Balkans anymore. Sadly.
Jack55555@reddit
You think Giannis, Ivan, Alexandru and Mehmet are all the same?
Efficient_Resource15@reddit
Thank you for mentioning me
Jack55555@reddit
I forgot the Albanians, is that bad?
Glittery_Marshmallow@reddit
I mean, you forgot a whole lot if you want everyone to have a designated name. Otherwise they can squeeze under Mehmet.
Jack55555@reddit
Well Bosnia, Slovenia, Serbia, North Macedonia and Montenegro can go with Ivan. Bulgaria too I guess. Moldavia can join in on Alexandru. Kosovo can team up with Albania.
Oh I forgot Portugal lol. Ok let’s add Frederico. Now we got them all?
Efficient_Resource15@reddit
You can use Ramses or Lorenzo for roma
Kooky_Appeal_6554@reddit
yepp the Fatmir's and Djoni's LOL
Moldorancea@reddit
Yes, from my experience we tend to hate small talk. We find this fake. Most of us are pretty straightforward and if you ask us how do we do, often we really tell how we do.
For example, in my country the region of Transylvania is historically Central European and people are a little bit more similar to the west. I am from east part of Romania (Moldova) and we are often brutally straightforward. We have different cultural influences.
My wife is from Transylvania and she needed some time to understand this is how we were raised and people here don’t want to offend her and don’t have bad intentions. They are just straightforward. Sometimes, brutally straightforward.
jinawee@reddit
Really? I doubt a guy in a Mercedes trying to show off their money in a nightclub will say they live with their parents and they've got an inferiority complex. I doubt a girl full of surgeries will say she's got daddy issues and is willing to settle down with a guy that beats her because of her insecurities. I doubt most people who commit suicide will tell you they want to if you ask them how they are.
And Moldova is not Balkan, its Eastern Europe at most.
Glittery_Marshmallow@reddit
Dude, there are people who are also not walking stereotypes. More of us at home than abroad.
CandidDebate6827@reddit
always ask on the first date whether she wants kids to sort out the defect ones as early as possible
IWillDevourYourToes@reddit
Well, I never dated a balkan guy but idk
Hour-Promotion-2496@reddit
Thanks for this great insight
IWillDevourYourToes@reddit
No problem
Strange_Status_7690@reddit
why is cz present in Balkanic threads?
Mother-Astronaut8784@reddit
Why wouldn't it be? Who cares we like Czechs
Professional-Fee-488@reddit
Spread the love for our Czech bros, one the best colleagues I ever had back home was a Czech, amazing guy.
Kooky_Appeal_6554@reddit
We? Speak for yourself, but not for everyone.
1970ivan@reddit
Because we are the most based region in the western world, so they tend to chill here
Strange_Status_7690@reddit
Balkan is for Balkan people and for Balkanic things.
Even we also have disputes who is Balkan and who is not and often start flaming wars.
1970ivan@reddit
Balkan is a state of mind and soul, we shouldn't gatekeep it, everyone should be welcomed to our glorious cultural sphere to enrich themselves
kamarjera@reddit
Thank you. This is very true. There are always people of different ethnicities, who may innately resonate with the Balkans for some reason or vice versa, it happens. We are all STILL human beings after all, who can choose where we belong🌀
1970ivan@reddit
*except if you are karaboga, or asian, or arab, or westoid or far eastern european then yeah sure we can agree
Professional-Fee-488@reddit
Or karabogas' lapdog.
kamarjera@reddit
‘Westoid’? 😆 You live and learn.
Early-Show2886@reddit
I wonder that too. It's a shame that countries like Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, and Bosnia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Serbia hardly get a word in edgewise in this sub. That's what the Balkans are for me, really. Bulgaria (where the Balkan Mountains are located) - formerly Yugoslavia - and to some extent Romania as well.
IWillDevourYourToes@reddit
Reddit recommended it to me
Kooky_Appeal_6554@reddit
i guess you are a roma woman from cz.
MysteriousAide1584@reddit
Děkujeme pro tvůj detajlný názor, kámo. Byl pro nás docela důležitý
eturin37@reddit
Thank you for your contribution.
kamarjera@reddit
It is possible to find love and respect that you deserve, without denying your heritage. The unions that you mention is a win-win situation for both sides, in my opinion.
Great-Big-3101@reddit
What're you talking about? Balkan men live to play games.
Early-Show2886@reddit
What I've often seen is: Balkan women who are divorced from their Balkan husbands then get involved with German or other west european men and think, "Now they're queens because they have a westeuropean man." LOL, In doing so, they deny their heritage. I've also noticed that some divorced Balkan Roma women marry German men. Another thing I've observed is that older single, not particularly attractive Roma women often have children with young Croatian men, sometimes 20 years younger than them.
bebilov@reddit
Lacking small talk skills doesn’t necessarily mean they’re not lying to you. Some people seem very serious and straight to the point but they just don’t have the patience to wine and dine you, it doesn’t mean they’re honest with you. Men lie to get what they want very easily no matter the ethnicity or where they grew up.
Emergency-Buddy-8582@reddit
I think this is the answer!
Early-Show2886@reddit
Your question demonstrates a lack of knowledge. Do you even know where the Balkans are geographically located? If so, you should know that there are various countries, ethnic groups, religions (Christianity and Islam), and languages in the Balkans, resulting in cultural diversity. You can't lump all the men of the Balkans together.
I bet you're from an English-speaking country.
OkaySaur@reddit
Serbian hands typed this
Kooky_Appeal_6554@reddit
na this seems to me a british, australian, canadian or american lady asked this question.
kamarjera@reddit
So much straight to the point, that it is quite common to receive a ‘black eye’ as a love token 🫣 No need for Turkish soap operas if you can witness Albanian couples caught in drama in your neighbourhood, or mixed couple with Bulgarian male, for example. It can be brutal. Now don’t come at me all at once with your dow arrows! I speak from experience of personally helping these abused women.
philolover7@reddit
Yea im pretty straightforward. I prefer to break up with a girl than continue playing a game I don't really like just so I can have her around. Yikes.
scales_and_fangs@reddit
Yeah, I am definitely straight to the point guy when it comes to dating. Clearly setting the expectations at the beginning for example.
I consider myself romantic but I also dislike prolonged mind games.
Efficient_Resource15@reddit
I think we are all different.
I know dudes who make me vomit the way they behave towards women and also real gentleman.
Mother-Astronaut8784@reddit
As it should be. What's the point of all the games anyway
SlavicRobot_@reddit
I'd say definitely more black an white.
North-Library4037@reddit
As opposed to whom?
