Don’t know about American style however this product is amazing for me;

What’s in it?
Sad_Pie_3862@reddit
Best not to ask, and that goes double for the hot dogs themselves.

Fairly sure it used to be called something like cucumber relish. I haven't seen it on the shelves for a long time.

M&S used to do this pickle relish, not sure if they still do.

They do. I have a jar in the fridge.

Vadasz Relish is decent, albeit a little pricey

I make burger relish when we have burgers or cheeseburger gnocchi bakes.
Finely dice a load of gherkins (the looong slices are nice and easy for this) then add some of the pickling liquid, mayo, mustard and a little ketchup. I sometimes also add very finely diced onion.
Most supermarkets also have a small selection of relishes, the onion relish if you can get it is lovely.

I had a nasty case of nob-rot some years ago, this picture is giving me flashbacks.

They used to have it everywhere in the 80s. It was really hard to find anywhere that didn't automatically bring it to the table, whether you wanted it or not.
Came in three colours, red, yellow & green, all equally vile. Douglas Adams had a fair bit to say about them in his book The Meaning of Liff. Unless you skipped through to read the qv it took you all the way to S to finally figure out what he was talking about.
Buldoo (bul-DOO) n.
A virulent red-colored pus that generally accompanies clonmult (q.v.) and sadberge (q.v.).
Clonmult (clon-MULT) n.
A yellow ooze usually found near secretions of buldoo (q.v.) and sadberge (q.v.).
Sadberge (SAD-berdj) n.
A violent green shrub which is ground up, mixed with twigs and gelatin and served with clonmult (q.v.) and buldoo (q.v.)in a container referred to for no known reason as the “relish tray.”

Yeah I love this stuff. It’s intermittently in supermarkets in various guises, but it’s not a “thing” here really, unfortunately.

The best one I’ve found was in the Philippines section of the oriental supermarket. Can’t remember the name. But they tend to have random American stuff in Philippine places due to history etc. A&W root beer is another example

Costco at least used to sell a range of them, I've bought them before.
At the other end of the scale Food Warehouse might as they have a range of sauces which are quite good takeaway/ chippy style so might have this relish too.
