I just got my torque arm kit but I have no idea what I’m doing it came with no instructions any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ditch these they do absolutely nothing. Get a Grin Tech v6 torque arm.

I would have went with better ones but I got a 2 pack for 30 bucks and it’s the same brand as my kit I got and they look like they’ll do the job.

They literally don't do anything. It's been shown this design is a failure just look it up.

I got 2 bolt in ones of jacks for the help 👍

It’s only for a 1500w

These torque arms are pretty useless

Oh and don’t worry it’s only for a 1500w

It is technically incorrect to compare torque directly to power
domon_123@reddit
Not really. Look at the picture: the battery is providing approximately 490W. However, even if the motors look identical visually, they have different windings (12T vs 6T), which results in different torque and power characteristics. That is only one factor; you also need to consider your battery voltage, the controller's amperage limit, and other variables. I recommend experimenting with this simulator; I believe it will make things much clearer

Oh, and check this out:https://ebikes.ca/resources/theory/power-ratings.html

But all 1.5kw hub motors have similar torque no?
Inner-Detective-4400@reddit (OP)
How so?

Hi, check this out: https://ebikes.ca/product-info/grin-products/torque-arms.html . There is a big chance that you have a Chinese copy (which is less strong), and as stated in this link:
"While this design did work and was an improvement over no arm, we ran into failures from the hose clamp in cases where a motor controller had shorted mosfets. The curved hose clamp slot in this design put stress concentration points on the clamp which facilitated the hose clamp tearing in half. As well the contact point to the fork was prone to sliding downwards. As a result we discontinued manufacturing this model in 2010 and do not recommend its usage. There are of course now countless Chinese clones of this bad design being sold by clueless people all over the world."

These are the ones I got
