Honestly with these types of situations, IF this has ever happened, what is wrong with just...not acknowledging it? I guess call me unashamed or whatever but if I had a co worker see that, I'd kinda have no problem telling them Yes, and?
What games I play on my free time is not their business. XD
I think Steam also has a way to make it so you can flag games to not get shown on your profile to others. So just use the system for its intended function?
I support being unashamed but (depending on the job), this isn't so clear cut.
Chances are it goes something like this.
Anon: "Yeah, I play H games, so what?"
Coworker: "uh... what is H? Is that like cartoon porn?"
Anon: "Yeah, so what?"
Coworker: "Sure... I guess."
Nothing happens immediately, but the Coworker definitely tells her seven work friends and two work husbands all about this. Word makes its way around... and again, nothing immediately happens.
But the next time Anon slips up somehow, this gets remembered. This gets weighed into the equation. If Anon is ever in a "misunderstanding" or "he said / she said", he's losing because his credibility is shot.
Who are they going to believe? Who are they going to promote? Not the degenerate who's openly gooning to Hatsune Miku.
OH man honestly I am the type of person who is at the point of my life in the workplace where IF that ever happens, I would straight up just ask them, why am I losing credibility just because I play " those" games? XD Just to see what they say.
Oh I don't live in the US, and funny enough, it's not like imam saying anything rude or deliberately offensive. Plus it helps to be in a unionized job and have a slightly asocial but professional attitude at work. Not every workplace is at will ya know. :P
See if I was in the US...then no, I probably wouldn't be that way. 😵😂
Jokes aside if you're in a situation where you can be passed over for promotion because someone likes to run their mouth over things that don't involve them, then it's time to move companies.
Oh fuck no. I don't play those weird games, and I wouldn't really call myself confident, I guess just...jaded and demoralised enough to not care. 😂 Hell I've straight up told bosses (After I was hired of course) who tried to add me on anything to no do so, and have blocked or unfriended plenty of co workers who try to do so, and have never had a problem. 😅
People will think you are weird and they will think of cartoon pornography every time they see you. I prefer having normal social interactions but you do you
yeah I get that mindset 😭 what people do in their free time is generally their own business, especially harmless stuff like games or hobbies.
at the same time, in workplaces a lot of people still feel awkward about unexpected personal things coming up, so sometimes it’s less about judgment and more about just not knowing how to react in the moment. but ideally it wouldn’t be a big deal at all.
Yeah. I was playing dumb to make a point. I get playing the games to some extent for , the thing is for me at least they would only make me feel more lonely and feel like a bigger loser
This is a fascinating attitude from people who ought to know better. Like bro, you are already watching porn, instead of doing the actually normal thing which is to have sex. The leap is not so massive for me to actually believe you don't get it.
Didn’t get a doujin, didn’t get an anime, and no playthroughs available to watch, so playing the game is the only option. There’s also the chance that a game does have an adaptation but the studio shits the bed, so playing the game is better or continues the story. Nope Nurses is the rare series that got all of them.
You don't have to understand it, just understand that different people like different things. I never understood how someone can like olives, but I can just shrug and go on with my life instead of shaming them for liking something I don't understand.
One thing you should know though, I think they will still pop up on Activity feed as "played for the first time" Unless you have friends that read Activity feed, everything is covered
I know several IRL girls who play everything from tame, lovey dovey Otome games, to a bunch of shitpost games like Sex with Hitler or House Party.
And then there's one freaky individual who has a whole slew of "Corruption" games.
No judgment though, what they play on their time is their prerogative (and it's at least better than just having 10+ different NBA, Fifa and CoD games on their account)
Just change your profile picture and put your library on private ig? Also, not sure on this, I don't think she could even see the h games if they weren't purchased on steam and just added to the library externally.
Do people not have separate accounts for things anymore? Feels like all I was told when growing up was to separate that sort of stuff from my front-facing life.
All these people saying to just make your profile private, forgetting that you can outright just right click on games in your library and press the "hide" button on them and it will scrub them from your account and won't even show you playing them.
Such has been a feature for a long while now and is visibly present on the right of the screen when you choose a game in the library.

You can hide specific games on steam and set it so it doesn't register you as playing them to others

Only_Champion_8895@reddit
Never understood the porn games thing. Just go watch porn and get off like a normal person
billy_lam26@reddit
I think it has something to do with those games giving players some form of control, compared to watching it, I dunno.

Mental_Jeweler_3191@reddit
The majority of hentai features rape or sex with dubious consent.

You can right-click on your game and mark it as private. Nobody will see you playing it. Then set your games to private.

Or, better yet, remove them from your account entirely, you degenerate.
