YJ leaf conversion welded into the frame, followed by a nuts/bolts chassis rebuild, and custom tube work all around. Pretty pleased with the results. Owner scoops it up tomorrow.

That came out clean. If it is going home on a trailer tomorrow, I would strap from frame or axle points and recheck after the first few miles. Fresh tube work and new leaf mounts can settle a bit once it starts bouncing around.

I always strap to axles or other unsprung locations just for that reason. Doesn't matter if it's new springs or not. I usually check my straps at least once during the trip too. I don't want to take a chance on being responsible for killing someone if something comes loose

Sammie was one of my first few vehicles and I miss it all the time. That rack/cage combo is badass.

Blows my mind to see these done up nice like this. Here in New England, they rusted so fast you could see it happening.
That's probably the nicest one I've ever seen and, I was alive when they were new lol

My friend had a 87', even on the lowest welding setting he was blowing though the sheet metal the tub was so rotted out.
