Im new to this group and I just wanted to say Thank you. I just found this subreddit and it already feels like home. Its not easy to find one's place in this world today, but reading through the posts brought back so many wonderful memories. I am grateful beyond words for that. Thank you for taking me back to a better time when the world wasn't so fucked and life was better. 🙏

Blockbuster is the one job I miss, worked there all through high school. I then became a server promoted to bartender at TGI Fridays.
My 20s were a blur, and thank God I don't have liver disease.

I worked at a TGI Fridays for (approximately) 6 months around the turn of '04/'05, and I feel like I can still smell the Jack Daniels sauce that invariably permeated all my work clothes every shift.

TGIF completely pulled out of my state aside from airport location. It was an interesting place tp work due to all the 20 somethings drama behind the scenes.

Like I commented on a picture taken in a mall back in the '80s that was on here the other day - I wish I could walk inside that picture and never look back.
I guess every generation goes through it. Looking back 30+ years and asking yourself what the Hell happened.

I have never fit in anywhere. I didn't have anything in common with you people when we were kids. Now all of a sudden we are back together. Feels like going to a convention in those fake nose moustache glasses only to find that everyone else is wearing them too. We all seem to have a specific kind of loner, disillusioned, self-deprecating vibe. Has anyone ever been as jaded as an Xennial?

On the right side of your screen, there should be a heading that says "User Flair" in the column. Click it and select your year if you want to.
