I started my unethical job search practices years ago. I felt like shit was scared paranoid and all that. I contacted a former co-worker to ask for a reference letter. Reference letters are a favor and Many times someone is too busy to write one then I write it for them hear crickets then they say “ok I’ll sign it and just add a few lines at the end…” and will be able to “do it over the weekend….” I was like fuck this coworker is dead…but wait…ok I have letters I’ve already written for myself so ai mean I could just sign her name I won’t get caught right…? Uh. No. Shes dead. You can use that letter forever. I have. The last time I used it I realized wait I’m giving her a promotion. She isn’t a coworker! She was a senior manager. And Ok she hired me! I’ve made fake emails and temp phone numbers. Yup. I’ve gotten bold. I will answer the phone myself. They never know. I’ve been thinking of offering my services. If anyone wants a job reference send me a message. I am by so sick of lying to cover job gaps and will be happy to do it for free….or $20. Good
